Don't know about you, but I've been transferring paint chips, helmets, suits, and car tickets from my secondary account to my primary, with the pending close of GT5 online.

How about the rest of you? Anyone else been scrambling like mad?

well i've done just about everything i care to do in GT5

i've come to the conclusion i'm just not that good... i come 2nd in the A-Spec challenges... came first in a few but its a hard slog

i'm just hoping sony can sort out my Academy DLC issues before closing day

Ya, got all the Helmets thanks to GTP Marketplace forum, close to having all of Suits too. :gtpflag:

I will continue playing GT5, lots of cars I have yet to drive. I picked up the DLC tracks also. :)

I`ve done everything there is to do in Gran Turismo 5. Golded everything, done all the seasonals and got every single ticket. So that's my `hurrah` finished.

My brother has been grinding Nurburgring daily using different cars on stock tires since GT4.
He's become extremely proficient on that track. I can't convince him to try racing it online.
He's a quiet guy who just keeps racing. He has an odd tunnel vision thing going on I guess.

i use GT5 to grind cash to collect cars so i can get my B-Spec team to grind crash to collects cars so... etc.

but i think i've reached the end of what GT5 offers

i have the 2 chapparrals (finally!) and most of the older JGTC cars

its been a great ride... GT6 looks like its finally getting the content it always should have had so it may well be time to transition

but occasionally i think i will fire up GT5 and let them do a run at the ring and whatever

i've been slowly acquiring all the cars available. as of now i'm missing less than 50 not counting DLC cars. i have been using the nurburgring seasonal get the money to buy everything (easy $5M an hour). i have all the new cars, done as much of the A-spec is i care to do (ditto for B-spec), dont care about suits or paint and i'm a bit burned out on GT for a while. i plan to continue to play gt5 for quite some time to come. gt6 is a failure to me at this point. havent played since march or early april and that was just to see what the updates were doing. i like long races; hours of just driving and pitting. 24 minutes in a pathetic car is not what i call fun. i enjoy using notably faster cars into races. cant do that in gt6.

5200 day used car cycle is just too much to get through in a short period of time.
But that's what many players seem to be trying to do in all the associated futility.
Certainly there must be better ways of spending the final days of GT5 online play.

I thought I'd have a last hurrah in GT5 as there were quite a few of the more recent seasonals in the last 12 months that I've not run. I did a few of them and won't bother with any more. I'd forgotten how uninteresting the racing was with uneven fields mostly producing "chase the rabbit" after getting past the rolling roadblocks. If GT6 gets some extra single player races soon I hope they don't follow the dreadful pattern of GT5. I played GT5 online until GT6 came out and thoroughly enjoyed it but the racing in A-Spec mode was pretty hopeless and so far GT6 is the same.

I'm pretty done with GT5, I got most of the cars, got the 2 Ferrari F1s, the Jensen, tried shuffle racing. For me GT6 is slightly better, and GT6 has Route X my favorite.(I have GT5 w/o DLC).

Yeah, i got to 40 on A and B and collected about 700 cars (i was missing) in the last month. I did a lot of grinding. Will wait for shutdown capped at 20 million credits. Still need to do everything above beginner on A spec and about half of Special events.

Only wish I had a bit more time to help out a few more players in the Marketplace forum. :gtpflag:
Actually looking forward to returning to regular offline play and not focusing so much online.

I'm not even having a last hurrah. I might venture online Friday night for my last ever Shuffle session. :(

I guess "Last Hurrah" means different things to different people.
For some it is the last few races online, for others it is completing their collection.
I'll keep playing GT5 just as I still play all previous GT's, so online play is not an end.
I still fire up GT2 on Saturday afternoons to drive the CLK DTM or Del Sol LM around.

Still have to get to level 40 A-spec (level 31 currently) and level 13 B-Spec. Did some Seasonal Events to boost my wallet to 10 million and grind some EXP. Sitting on a garage of 125 cars and still need that darn 1000 car trophy :/

My last Hurar was ages ago haven't played it for a long time. I never really played gt5 online. I hope you guys got those online trophies as platinum is now unobtainable. One day I might go back and finish it but I don't have much left to do.

I still have GT4 hooked up and ready to play at a moment's notice - where else could I take a Bentley Speed 8 for a run around El Capitan?
And now GT5 will have the same fate - I will keep it hooked up and ready to play (offline, of course, whenever I get into the mood) because I spent so much time on it, and also because of the great collection of cars I have in there.

And now . . . well, on to fudging around and whining about GT6 while waiting for GT7. :D
