Who needs a xbox? I gotta PS3!
Well acording to the FIA (Damn French! LOL!) F1 fans are not interested in Tech on F1 cars!

When they said that on Speed during the British GP practice I knew the FIA had lost thier minds!

Tech is the big draw in F1 for me, I mean come on 19,000+ RPM, how can you not love that!

I used to be a big NASCAR fan but really don't watch it much anymore, why?
Because they use 60's tech & all the cars are the same, if the races are going to be boring ovals every week at least give me some high tech cars to watch!

Indeed, that is the reason I love F1. These are not big touring cars that are completely frozen in terms of development. These are not even signle specification open wheel cars. These are the real deal: the best engineers making the best cars in the world, to be driven by the best drivers in the world.

I find the aerodynamics used in Formula 1 extremely interesting, and the mechanical technology is also very interesting. It’s what set these cars apart, as the best in the world.

I'm only interested in all the sexy haircuts.

I don't think the FIA actually listens to what the fans like and don't like in F1 because they pretty much seem to be doing everything that the fans don't want them to do. There are multiple instances lately of sure rulings and regulations put in place that are the exact opposite of what the fans want.

But yes, the technology on the F1 cars absolutely fascinates me. Engines having the ability to rev to 19,000+ rpm's. All kinds of different approaches to shaping the aerodynamics in hopes of gaining downforce and reducing drag. Different compounds of rubber for the tires in hopes of gaining those ever elusive tenths, hundredths, and thousandths of a second in qualifying and during the race. Etc., etc., etc., . . . , etc.

The FIA are just lazy. Behold:

"Honey, we couldn't get those polls done and our boss wants them tommorow. I wish we had more time. Anyway, what do you think about F1?"

...and thus, we fans are not interested in technology.
