The biggest draw, for me anyways to play a game, is the ability to join a club or crew. I play a few other racing games that have this feature. I enjoy making new friends, racing with people I know and finding trustworthy people to race with. I am just curious, if and when the feature is added, do you plan on joining a crew or club? If yes or no, why? Thanks for the feedback.

you do realize that there are tons of dedicated clubs and leagues on this game right? go to the clubs n leagues or the racing series section of the forums to see for yourself....i have a league starting up soon, check the link in my signature to learn about it.

Go and look in the racing series section. There's too much to choose from. We have the features we need to organise series right now, it's called GTP.

Thanks for the feedback and I'll look into it. The thing is I work all the time and it's tough for me to find time to play. Have to go to work in a hour actually. I think that the "thread" is kind of an unorganized way of running leagues and clubs. Although you guys do the best with what you have. I was just wondering if you will carry over to a crew system when it's implemented into the game? It would be so much easier to log on, see who's playing in your crew and join them in the races. Crew competitions, seeing who in your crew is online, coordinating with them via the game and other options would be so much easier or do you plan on leaving your leagues and clubs the way they are? Thanks.

The thread system is by far the easiest thing I could imagine. In terms of times, I think there's a race series for whatever time suits you.

I think it will be a natural progression, the threads, and forum based activities will carry on, but it will extend to the game based system aswell.

It would be great if the clubs / groups / crews features come with mobile app based features for sharing cars and messaging / event calenders etc.

Also challenging other crews etc.

Similar to clan matches with battlefield and battlelog.

The point that was being made is that in GT there are no tools to enable you to form or create clubs or leagues in-game. Having to do so via unofficial forums is frankly cumbersome.

I have been playing GTA Online lately - that is an example of a game that has its community features sorted out.

Community features was the second most important upgrade to GT6 after physics. Can't see how people don't realize that the online portion of the GT series is absolute bare bones. I'd like to be able to join some informal clubs and leagues and go online and see which of them are running without having to friend multiple people in the league. I'd like a race schedule to peruse on a given night so anyone can organize an informal race or series at anytime and I can join and find all the info without having to leave my PS3. I'd like to be able to access this from my mobile or PC. There is tremendous potential for this to dramatically improve online racing.

The real caveat is of course, will they just pay lip service to this and slap something together full of bugs and shortcomings which they'll never update? Or will they create something worthy of the leading console franchise and continually update and improve it?

It'll be bare bones....

GT7 will (should:rolleyes:) finally see this level of integration.

Hopefully I'm wrong and we'll see it in the next update :D

Similar to what some others have said here... I probably would. It's tough for me to commit to specific dates and times setup for clubs and series here. "Usually" I get some wheel time on Wednesday nights but it's not always the same time or amount. Moreover what if all I feel like doing is snapping some photos or hotlapping the ring instead of running races?

A system where I could join a club and then just participate when I have the time rather than a defined schedule would be great.

Also, these features would be much more far reaching into areas of the fan base who are not active on GTP or other fansites.

The forums work bur require a fair bit of dedication just to even keep them going. In this age of gaming it seems that a built in community is something of a standard and expected feature.

So in short, ya I'll join up to something once this is in place since I haven't really found what I'm looking for yet in the forums.
