They are duping them on the marketplace like crazy. I mentioned to someone i was trading with I wanted one and he sent me 5! Did a chrome mx-5 looks crazy.

Seem to be missing a fewsteps I'm here. I assume you have to save before you get your multiple of 30 and then back it up. Then when you get the 30th car and no chrome chip you restore the game and try again?
If this is the case you might as well get a duped one. Not that I have anything against duping. To me this is a game meant to be fun and grinding for money to buy cars or getting frustrated over not having a paint color is not fun to me. Props to those who do it right but I don't have the time to dedicate to games anymore.
No you do not need to backup your save just exit the game using the PS button before you click ok after receiving your paint, if you click ok the game saves the received paint, so you just quit out if it is not the color you want and keep trying until you do get the color you want. suppose you could back it up if you want a bunch of paints or you could spend 30 minutes doing it until you get a chrome paint and be happy and wait till you buy another 30 cars to get whatever color next.

There is a way that you can duplicate it so that you have more than one, and you can also see how it looks before it updates and cancel if you don't like it.
