Well I'm pretty sure we all know who RUF is, the German automaker in charge of super-tuned Porsches. I'm not particularly fond of this model, or the China-only Cup Sport Asia model. There's also an electric one, which I think is kind of stupid. And this just adds to the list of "special" 911's.

I think the thread title is misleading, it suggests RUF would produce anything other than a new 911 variant. Why is it surprising?

There's something that seems very off about that roof. It looks cheap and photoshopped.

Don't think it's the roof itself but the rear window made out of see-through flexible fabric like you see on convertibles with a cloth roof and unlike the original 911 Targa which had a fixed glass rear window.
Makes the contours appear fuzzy and seem at odds with the rest of the styling.

You guys don't seem to understand what Ruf is doing here. A lot of their products have little nods to classic Porsches.

This one refers to the uber-rare pre-impact bumper soft window Targas.
