Are any of you guys in Arkansas? I've been frequenting GTP for over two years and had no one else mention this state except for SupraJef who hasn't posted in nearly 3 months.

Am I alone? So very alone ... and cold ... did I mention alone? I bet it will be cold again tonight.

Heh, I have an image of the new Arkansas quarter, but it's in violation of the AUP to post it.

Yes, I know. The real one has a diamond on it or something, as we're the only state in the nation to have an active diamond mine.

I live in Conway, work in Little Rock. Yay! I made a thread about it a while back describing my commute and the difference in the Interstate and state highways. They've finished the majority of construction and everything is running fairly smoothly again. It'll be a few more months and they'll tear it all up again.

Nope, not me. Not in Arkansas. Never been, either. Whereabouts in The States is it (I'm too lazy to search :p)

There are a few left. However, Conway has become quite the yuppyville as of late. There are several MAJOR corporations in town employing several thousand suits ... err ... business executives. We have several neighborhoods now with homes in the half million dollar range. We also have a private college which employes quite a few snobbish type libral professors.

But the hillbillies still lurk about. Vilonia ... VIY-LONE-YAAA ... is just up the road. Along with Greenbriar. But the ones we're famous for are Toad Suck (not kidding, it was on Jay Leno) and Pickle's Gap. I've even attended a wedding at Pickle's Gab Baptist Church. *shudder*

You need to understand that none of that means anything until you start seeing G-classes around. Then you can write off the whole county...

That statement was actually for Duke who publically hates them, but has admitted to me personally that he wishes he had "a whole fleet of them".

Only if I could afford to put them all on 26es.

I'd actually rather have a Unimog. Really!

I've got much more respect for the G-class now that the press picture features a Joshua Tree.

Who doesn't want a Unimog?

By the way, I drove through Arkansas a few years ago.

Your mom's an overpriced tin box.

They used to have an AMG version - 349bhp, $80000. I'm not sure exactly who bought it, but in general, it was idiots. Normal people laugh at them, but they're so sheltered they don't realise it. That's what makes it really funny.

you mention a private school in conway, yet forget about the other school with over 10,000 students. how bout mentioning the horrible traffic for a small town, the ridiculously bad drainage systems, horrible development projects and the worst yet, NO LIQUOR.

Arkansas is a nice place if you like outdoors. But if you want to be cool, you will live elsewhere.

Well I like Missouri. I was raised here I am raising my kids here, I was brought up with respect and morals but something my friend tells me that you are just the opposite. Now bring your disrespectful mouth on over here to Missouri and let me teach you a lesson in respect. I don't get it does everyone talk to one another like that where you are from?

um please elaborate on "teach you a lesson in respect". Are insinuating violence here? If so, doesn't sound like you were raised on "respect and morals". Have you ever left missouri. If you have, you would know what I am talking about.

Wow, that guy was a complete ass.

Tell me more about this I-Link club! I was in Springfield for Thanksgiving - that was a 3.5 hour drive. I could do that for a full day of gaming. I might even get a room for the night.

Man, some people are so rude and disrespectful. Those people are going to be "the problem" in GT4. Anyway about the i-link. We race on saturday nights at a guy's house here in Nevada. They are talking about leaving the cockpits set up at the warehouse after the 20th so I am not sure after that. I am thinking that we are just going to let the local drivers race each other that night (the 20th) and kind of let them get hooked without any of the regulars running because they might not have as much fun when a regular steps in and runs off into the sunset.
But beleive me we will have alot more racenights before gt4 and its possible we may have another tournament for $$$$$$$ I'll keep you posted.

By the way "purestupidness" I have been out of Missouri. I have served my stint for the United States armed Forces and traveled all over this beautiful planet. Come on now let's stop with the ribbing:) and get along like men. Save it for the race track.
