Great. Really looking forward to that one.

Just viewed your "old" Autobacs record at the forest and the Laguna Skyline this morning. I am truly amazed of your steady and smooth rides. Looks like wheel rides despite your using the DS2. First I just watched them in replay. The looked just like mine (yeah, right) except for the times. Then I loaded them in the logger with my replays to see what the hell you were doing. My ghost was all over the place. First on the left of you, then on the right, back to the left and so on. A drunkard on the loose.

Another thing that amazed me is, how early you break and get back on the throttle. I know it from the racing theory, I know it form endless racing line discussions, I know it from when I improve. I learn the same lesson week after week and I try to focus on it in my races. And yet I'll have to see you fly away from me on every corner, because of that early breaking. Fantastic racing. 👍

Hey thanks for the great comments Niels 👍 It's good to know my replays are helping people to find better lines in their racing, thats why I post them ... well that and the fact that I like to show my runs are clean and acceptable for database submission
I've been a member of GTP since 2001 and have been racing in OLR for those 3 years and before the PC and OLR I was hard at GT1 and GT2 and hammered both until all golded and complete and my thumbs were hanging on by the tendons only! so it's literally time served you could say
Some people just have a natural gift ... like Edmar and Hugo, Momo etc.. but mine is all earned the hard way ... millions of laps until I find the lap i'm after 👍 When I get as good as the guys I mentioned then I'll a very happy Racer

The first ghosts I ever chased when I got an xport were Wiese's TT'S back in the day before he was known as Arco around early 2002 his replays were amazing yet very informative and helped me more than anything.
Keep at it mate and before you know it ! .... your own post will be directed towards you from some new racer to OLR

I often think my improving is going way to slow. But after a year with OLR, it's there and it's clear.
My GT experience only go 2 years back. My driving then would have caused many tears and lots of flames from the great racers on this board. Grass (the boring kind), walls and brutal horsepower. I am for sure no natural, so it's nice to hear you can go so far, just from pure love (obsession?) to the game.
OK, I'll be ready to kick your arse in GT :counting: 6. Yep, just watch out for GT6. Well, that's if you stop improving, otherwise it'll be GT8 or maybe 10.

hello,Niels.I just watched your calsonic replay.I hope you don't see me as a wiseass,but last year at the I-link in the RAI Friday gave me a tip.I asked him why he was 5 sec faster in one lap.He said that maby his car was" rolling" better.I break to hard and lose therefore a lot of time.At home I tried to brake early and let the car roll through the bend.Now I can keep the car in a higher gear with a higher speed.On laguna with the calsonic I saw you took the second turn in 3,I did 4.The third in 4,I in 5.The same for the second last turn.Maby it was luck from my side but anyway I wanted this to share with you.

I think you may have mixed my replay with someones else's. I was in the Loctite and in 4'th gear in second turn and 5'th in the third turn.

BTW. Nice close racing we had this week. 👍

What can I say after this...

I'm last on the leaderboard another time, which makes twice in 2 races : the good thing is I can only improve
Perhaps I should compare other people's replays with mine more often in the data logger : just watching the replay doesn't teach anything.
As Niels says, when I'm watching someone else's replay (like GT3Mich in the Xsara for instance) it looks like my replay : similar top speed, similar cornering speed, similar driving line, similar brake and throttle gauges... Except that the split times are seconds faster.
Oh, btw, here is my replay. Not to teach anything to anyone, but to prove that I really deserved my ranking

Perhaps we should indeed skip weeks when the WRS runs an arcade race like this week as you suggest in week 2 thread. But I'd like to have a week 3, I need to show (to myself at least) that I can be much better than what I have been so far in weeks 1 and 2.
As for suggestions, I love C, B and A-class cars as much as the S-class ones that are used in most of the WRS races. What I mean is that I'd like to race an arcade MX-5 or Ruf 3400S or Opel Speedster event once in a while.

Week three will be coming sometime this weekend, with a low powered non-S class car. Don't really have any ideas for the track yet.
