First off this is a new username for me, I used to be crookD. :crazy:

Anyway, as I promised here is my new and first video, Feint .

:scared: Song: Atreyu - Deanne the Arsonist (few explicit lyrics) :yuck:

Although the editing might be par and the drifts not my best, for completely fabricating the entire video from start to finish including footage it took me about 8 hours of work. :ouch: I wish I had more time with my friends Analog to Dv converter but didn't so this is what I could get done. :boggled:

Hey crookD, I mean in_D_ie... Good job with the video, when you named your video "Feint" I thought you were only going to use that technique. Ok well you need to work on using your analog controller; the counter steering is just a little crazy. I saw that you went off track some times, and a couple times I think it was Trial Mountain, you just cut in too early. Some of your drifts where cut off to early. Over all your drifts were smoothed. Other then that you nice job :D

Too bad I can't hear the song; I’m at school right now. :(

Just work on those minor things, and you'll be good to go 👍 :cheer:

Aye thanks, like I was saying before with no prep. I kinda had to capture the look I wanted more then my style. But sometime after x-mas I'm getting my own converter so expect much more.

Always been known as Indie on other games, forums, etc... but for some reason I registered crookD awhile back and kept using it because I was too lazy to make a new one.

So during 2nd hour english lit. I made a new name lol... :dunce:

Yay me...

So question, how do you guys mount you DFP's? If I could answer that question I may just have to pick one up! :dopey:

I hate to be a jerk. But the name of the vid was "feint" and I didn't see any feinting in the whole vid. :indiff:

You use a good assortment of cars and that's always good.

RX7-drifter is right on the money. YOur countersteer is messing with your drifts. You should try to setup countersteer earlier and only perform minor adjustments throughout the drift. This is what we call tracing the turn with your front tires.

Also, you start drifting late in almost every corner. A problem I had myself. Try starting a little earlier. You'll find that the greater angles will come during the middle of the drift, rather then the end. That is what is effecting your exits.

all this will come with practice.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. He did do a pretty good one in the first corner with the red fd.
 
Very awesome, keep the comments comming. I knew I was on the right track, but like most of you are pointing out there are many flaws. When I get back from work later I will see what I can do...

Oh and about the name, I had such intent to add more feint drifting but as I got further and further in to the video kinda lost track... totally my fault lol. Hopefully next time around I will stick with my title haha.

Im sorry, i didnt see the Video, but wut cars did u "feint" in? I could feint in the Evo 5 and 6 and the Skyline GTRs. DAMMIT, i wish i could show you guys, just wait and see.

Well, if you know how to drift well, you should be able to feint in any car than just those.

As for the movie, like swift said, where's the feint?!?!?
Other than that, it looked good except for some drift angles and some erratic counter-steering, but that'll come along nicely as time passes.

This gave me a great idea...
for some drift parody for the song "i can't "feint" " by Linkin Park...oh man this is going to be awesome if i don't get flamed 👍
 
Seriously, the name was my fault like stated above... had a grand idea which was skewed as the movie progressed lol. Anyway, got home from work and played GT3 and with the pointers everyone provided and like two hours of practice I am starting the drift alot sooner (drifting into the turn, instead of powering through it), and with that came smoother less eratic need for oversteer (not jerking the car, only correcting oversteer).

Once again thanks for the critisism helped me alot lol...

Planning on getting more footage over the next few weeks to make a better vid. ... "feint.v2 - "Now With Added Feint!!" :scared:

What FC_Drifter and Swift said.... good advice there... Also, I see some potential in your editing skills... with the right guidence... you are well on your way to make vids of note... But first and foremost... work on that countersteer and technique... Good luck...

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I think the divine brothers (divine_sensei/divine_monk) did a twin drift video with that song =/
 
Well ... I've seen the video ... it's nice ... You have a lot of courage at some corners to enter with that speed. Unfortunatelly there is no feint visible in video ... 2 bad. And that countersteer really needs to be more smooth ... not from zero to full and back again all the time. But a little practise will take care of that soon :). Good luck and thumbs up on second video.

Oh and the choice of music was (for me, that is) not good. But that is just me ;).

haha yes i know. I was thinking of making a PARODY of that song, making some kind of humorous drift mess-up video.
