Hi there all speedfreaks
No its not a cannibalised Vesaro, why would I do that? I built this rig from scratch as you can see, which is a lot cheaper than buying one to butcher. Its only a tubular frame after all and fairly easy to make, after the basic frame is built let your imagination develop the rest. Building the rig was my response to a challenge from my 30 year old grandson. I had no experience with sim rigs or sim racing but I can build almost anything from steel as I have an engineering workshop with all the necessary equipment. I had no idea what I was going to do with it when it was finished. As it progressed I had to buy the hardware, the software, TV etc etc. I took it home, got it set up and raced for the first time in my life and I so enjoyed it that I decided to keep it for my pleasure. I now spend every minute of my spare time behind the wheel and if I don't have the time, I make the time. I've progressed very well in the last 9 months and can't wait to race on line. My wife says I'm experiencing a mid-life crises or entering my second childhood. I say "So f....n what!" I include some more pics of my new little toy, maybe too many, I figured if any of you guys like it, there's enough information in the pics for you to build one yourself. You will see in the second pic that after the frame was all welded up that the wheel deck would be far too high so I cut the tubes back and added the extension back on at a lower level as you can see in one of the pics. I think the result also helped to break the monotony of the long curved tubes. Last week end I decided to add the dummy exhausts just for the hell of it. Hope you guys like it.

Day one after much pondering.

Two weeks later. After welding up I discovered that wheel would be too high. Must find a way out.

Nice setup, but I find that the seat is too much high! this position reminds me of the camion! I really advise you to lower it a bit!

High relative to what? Certainly not the monitor. Speaking of the monitor, it seems quite far from your eyes. Your FOV will need to be either tiny or extremely unrealistic.Read about FOV here.

Seat height and screen distance are all relative, if you're looking for "SIM" you might want it one way, comfort another. Cool rig tho!

This is a great rig. Obviously a lot of work went into making this, and I think you did a great job!
Seat height and monitor distance is personal preference, as long as your happy with it that's all that matters. Theirs no rules when you build your own rig!
Excellent finish mate!

Awesome rig Joe, as mentioned lower the seat and the TV. A good rule of thumb for the TV/monitor is to have your eyes line up with the middle of the TV/monitor. Also, you want your TV/monitor very close to you. I have triple 55" HDTV's and I can reach out and touch them.
