A funny moment, and not to bash the game, as Im sure it has some playability, BUT...

Before buying GT5 I rented F1. I was so excited when I got home, played a few hours, and promptly, literally, truly, fell asleep at the wheel.....I awoke from the sounds of the crash coming from my 5.1 surround...I shut my system off and returned it to the store on my way in to work the next morning....

Maybe, someday, I will give it another chance......Until that day I will stick with GT5...or just play the original F1 which I enjoyed.
 
I had the same problem! i'm a big fan of F1. but the races are so lame. it just doesn't get me i think. 10 laps feel like hours and yes i encountered many times i fell asleep. the only track that got my attention was monaco is wet. but thats self explainatory.

10 laps in a Formula 1 car feels like hours?

Hardly, most laps can be completed in well under 2 mins on the majority of the tracks.

haha i was gonna say

i finally did a 100% the other day (i believe it was @ turkey)

now the 20% races seem like 5 minutes lol
 
Need to give it another try. The wet weather races can be very enjoyable espcially if the rain stops and the track starts to dry out(same if it starts to rain). The evolving track actually does work.
 
Personally, I find myself more likely to fall asleep when playing GT5. At least the AI is competitive in this game...
