I have this motherboard with on board 5.1 but i am getting missing sound in ut2k4, what could be the problem? all drivers are up to date and functioning well on other games and software. I am missing sound effects like picking up health vials or ammo. Any help appreciated.
 
Sounds like a DirectX issue. Download the latest version (10?) from the MS site, and have a go there.
 
Did you get an ASRock motherboard installation video disc with it? My friend has an AsRock motherboard, and the installation vid is like the funniest thing I've ever seen.

I believe the newest DX is 9.0c.
