I'm surprised no one is talking about owning the game yet. They are being sold here since today (sat).

Yes it is. I had mine copy as well but didn't have time to play it yet. Since this game is also available on PS4 I've decided to purchase on PS3 with lower price. When it comes out on PS4 it will be much expensive. Also comes to my collection :)

Have you had time to play it? I haven't but will do (I hope) today. My friend is very positive about this game, can't wait to go in to battle with these ships, then go stealth in the jungle and get lost.. (my friend had this hehe)

Yes, 15 hours of gameplay and i have to say this game is worth purchasing with PS4, so what i did i swapped this game with friend of mine. He bought new Batman but didn't like it and started moaning about buying Black Flag instead, so i took he's Batman and give him Black Flag.

Ill buy this game with PS4 .

AS for the game it self it's big !! Ohhh and it's well though too, you don't just mash buttons like Kratos did, this is more realistic game, with small exceptions of sea battles but it's have to be like that so the game could be simple. I totally love Caribbean climate.

Ubisoft drops online passes ACIV passports now free.

Hardcoregamer
First EA, then Sony and now Ubisoft. The major publisher has announced today that they will be dropping online passes from any future Ubisoft game. Dubbed the “Uplay Passport,” this program was required to play online in some games, most recently Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. Black Flag will mark the last game that utilizes it and those without a Passport will be able to download one from XBLA or PSN for free. Those who have already purchased one are instructed to contact Ubisoft support.

Found something fun towards just a little Assassin's Creed ;)

Playing it on the PS3, not played much but so far so good. Some annoying performance drops though.

I haven't even started main story, just sailing, pilfer ships, gather crew and i have so much fun with it. On my PS3 games runs smoothly, no frame rates drops.

The frame rate drops here too but the game is very nice so I can live with it. I'm on 44% last time I checked and around 65-70% storyline.

Are you guys playing with Edwards fleet? I find it pretty amusing and easy money although I find myself hunting ships over and over for no real reason so got enough of everything  I just found out even the man o war is available in different levels so hunting those down is a lot of fun. Some ask you to ship 80 items while three of my man o war can only hold 70 with only one can hold 80. Great fun!!

Just finished the game. It made less impressions than Ac2 and 3 did, but it was good fun.

I would have liked it if they introduced you to who you are playing with in present time. Still have no idea. He didn't said anything..

Now its time for Watch Dogs and hope to see a new Ac soon!

Sorry for the slight thread revival, but ACIV:BF is awesome. I've seriously had more enjoyment from this than GT6 and GTAIV combined.

To me, it's the first brilliant AC game since the first and second. The series lost its way and by AC3 I was undecided as to whether I'd bother with IV but I'm so glad I did! The story is back to being engaging, the free-running feels much more fluid and enjoyable, the open world feels vast, the combat is still not perfect but it's adequate, character development actual happens and they've got rid of the unnecessary filler from the last game.

Bravo, Ubisoft. Bravo.

Hey, I'm reviving it, too. This was my first AC game, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. So much so that I went out and bought the first three games for $20 each.

I think the thing that made it so good was the way it had a sub-plot. Although the story surrounding the colony of Nassau eventually dovetailed with the hunt for the Observatory, they were treated quite separately to start with, so it was quite refreshing to switch from one story to another. It kept my interest going, something I struggled with in AC3 when I got onto it.

Because I enjoyed BLACK FLAG so much, and because I am out of work during school holidays, I got my hands on the other games in the series.

I did not mind the first one, but found it repetitive when playing for a long time. The beggars were also bloody annoying (for someone poor and sick and hungry, they are very good at keeping up with me when I am sprinting).

I liked the Ezio trilogy a lot, but story-wise, I felt it would have been better suited as a single game. It did suffer a bit from feature-creep by the end; I would have liked bomb crafting to reappear somehow, like with the blowgun in BLACK FLAG.

I really struggled with AC3. Connor is an absolute pain; emotionless and with no real motive except to stop Haytham, who was far more interesting. I also found it difficult to engage with the setting, unlike the other games. It lacked colour, and felt like a Hollywood film that takes itself too seriously.

As much as the trilogy made for an over-wrought and convoluted story at times with Ezio, I would like to revisit Edward in another game. BLACK FLAG clearly sets up a few plot threads (Rogers' survival, the missing blood vials, the Instruments of the First Will, and even what made Haytham align himself with the Templars and the fate of Jenny) for a sequel. I'd love to take the Jackdaw off the east coast of Africa, the Mediterranean or South-East Asia.

Just started playing this, graphics are really beautiful though FPS seems to be a bit unstable, as it often moves between silky smooth and well.. not so smooth pretty polar opposites, but still playable. I'm aware the console versions are locked to 30fps, might actually not have been a bad option to have on the PC versions too considering the massively varying fps you can get.

Was really pleasantly surprised when I heard the main characters voice... "wait is that a Welsh accent!?" and then a little further... yep that's a Welsh accent.. A Welsh leading character with a properly done accent was a big surprise. Though he does go from a very posh Welsh (that would probably sound English to anyone not from the UK) to a pretty strong townish Swansea accent a lot I think they did a great job with it!

This is the first Assasins Creed game I've properly played, I have AC2 but never really touched it. Controls seem to work real nice and the combat is fluid (though seems a bit almost like a well disguised series of quicktime events) and the sailing of the boat is pretty nice. Not very far through it (just beat the intro part) but I think this is a game I will really enjoy.

Only negative would be the fps optimisation, I'm playing with a PS3 controller... works great!

One thing: throw everything away and get started on AC2. NOW. That is the best game story I have played EVER. Then continue with Brotherhood, what is also a very very good written game. You really have to play AC2 and AC2 Brotherhood!! Revelations is not that important but I guess you really want to play that one too after you're done with AC2 and AC2R.

Have fun :D 👍

Oh man the story of AC2... So emotional..

AC2 got a little complex, particularly as the Borgia conspiracy started expanding out to other cities. Sometimes it felt like sequences were tacked on for the sake of extending the game a little. There were a few points there when I had no idea who I was going after, or why. The plot eventually got back on the straight and narrow, but there were a few frustrating deviations.

A better way to do it would have been to make the Ezio trilogy one story. Have Ezio conquer a smaller conspiracy, and then head to Masayaf to find the keys and learn more about the Order and the Piece of Eden - but when he returns to Rome, Cesare has staged his insurrection and seized control of the city.

Still, it was better than AC3. Connor was a complete pain in the neck; I appreciate that they wanted to have a Native American protagonist, but the voice casting was terrible - he sounded bored most of the time. And I actually found it easier to associate with the Templars; Haytham in particular was way more interesting. But what bothered me the most was the way Connor immediately dismissed things that he should have questioned. When you go after the rogue Templar with Haytham, the Templar makes a pretty interesting case: that the Crown does have a cause to feel betrayed, and that Connor's cause is not just simply because he thinks it is, as his enemies feel exactly the same way. He should have stopped to think about that, but he immediately wrote it off as a lie.

Anyway, I just want to jump into another Edward Kenway adventure. Sooner is better than later.

IGN are reporting that two AC games could be released this year. One, code-named UNITY, is apparently going to be released on the PS4 and XONE. Screenshots show what appears to be a black-clad assassin in 18th-Century France. The other project is code-named COMET, and little is know other than that it could appear on PS3 and X360.

Opened a Thread for it.
