It's in early open access...Why? Ac Evo is clearly just a gt3 at spa daily race plus an open word which I think its a myth at this point

For 15 months...It's in early open access...
Timescale is moderately irrelevant, it isn't a complete game, it's barely halfway and things are constantly shifting. For 15 months...
Dude, we agree that 15 months in Early Access is a long time. No one’s saying otherwise. For 15 months...
That is how I see it as well. The core gameplay (physics, driving feel) is already very good and offers a driving experience for production cars that’s better than its competitors
Add each update add some cars and one track, it's early access just content wiseIt's in early open access...

Agreed, the driving is brilliant. That is how I see it as well.
When driving either the GTO or the Countach on the Nords (practice mode) in ACE and in AC which is also original content, it demonstrate to me that I now prefer ACE over AC in that scenario.
ACE, hopefully, as along way to go for optimization in VR, but as great as VR look in AC, ACE driving feeling is much more to my taste, it feels to me as a more enjoyable driving experience.
Yes, the development is slow, but as I am already spending a lot of time driving it and enjoying it, I am in no rush.
For all of us like me out there, I am thankful to Kunos for putting together this simulator.
The core, the driving feeling, is bang on, the optimization will hopefully come, or I will have to update my rig again, like I had to do for ACC, and in that case slow development is not so bad.
The best AI races I've had have been in AMS2. And if you haven't tried it in a while, I highly recommend looking at the latest changelog and using any of those classes with the initial 1.7 physics update. This isn't even the same AMS2 as a year ago.Agreed, the driving is brilliant.
I will admit however that I'm a bit impatient when it comes to the AI development, as right now for me it's a bit of a hotlap simulator and/or Nordschleife simulator. So I really hope they prioritize AI from now on. The AI in ACC is at an ok level. In ACE it needs to be at a level or two above that. Why? Because when I pass an AI car in ACC – even at difficulty 95% and above – it quickly disappears in the rear-view mirror. That's not exactly how things works IRL. They need to at least put up a little bit of a fight to get the position back.
Been a while since I drove AMS2 but I seem to recall that the AI was very good there. Or was it Raceroom? Maybe both.
I wouldnt name the tire model only, some things just dont feel right .... yet!Does anyone else have a problem with the tire feeling on certain cars? Sometimes it feels like the grip is just one large vague scrub radius and feel falls off completely when taking a corner at speed.
Maybe you should be concerned considering in 4 updates the game is in 1.0, assetto corsa rally is already more polished in 2 updatesIt's early access in every aspect, not just content, nothing is final in any way.

I own one, and have done for around 4 years now, and have to disagree, the ACE version isn't perfect, but it's close. For example the Hyundai i30N. I've used to drive this car irl for a couple of months and I actually visited the Nords with it. Didnt push it to the limits tho, cars are expensive in these days. But in ACE it doesnt feel like an i30N at all, it drives completely different.
It’s not comparable, EVO is completely overhauling the physics engine and open world (over 1,600 km² of laser scaned terrain), while Rally is reusing the AC1 physics engine on UE5. (I'm not criticizing Rally; I think it's excellent)Maybe you should be concerned considering in 4 updates the game is in 1.0, assetto corsa rally is already more polished in 2 updates
I think what you mention about some cars getting more love than others is accurate. A dev on Reddit mentioned they had to specially tune the Porsche 911 Cup and the car’s game engine settings because the vehicle behavior was quite impossible, and that came with this new update.I wouldnt name the tire model only, some things just dont feel right .... yet!

There were some cars in the original AC I owned or drove irl and they felt pretty much like the real deal.
On the other hand there is this video of EVO by Micha with the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, in which he states it feels like the real car. So maybe some cars received more love than other by Kunos. I dont know.
If that is the cars, I really wonder why this Ferrari Daytona feels like a ****box. Of all the current cars in ACE this was the only one I had absolutely no connection to. In that case I would confirm, the tires just feel very, very strange.
How would ACE look right now if they only focused on allowing one car on one track up to this point? No working on any other aspect. How would AC Rally look now if they had to wotk on AI and allowing 20 cars on a track? Do you think these guys are sitting on their hands? The great thing is you can totally ignore this game and play something that's not a GT3 at spa game.Maybe you should be concerned considering in 4 updates the game is in 1.0, assetto corsa rally is already more polished in 2 updates
