I Renown I
Possibly mid september release maybe.
The full release is possibly at least a year out unless things get easier for kunos going forward.

But really looking forward where it could be end of the year, the open world Will be intresting how it plays out

As a Schumacher fan when I see the F2004 and hear that screaming V10 it hits me right in the feels. 🥹❤️

Again, as I was expecting from Forza Motorsport but it failed miserably, I hope AC EVO can create something that can really rival GT7 so that those guys stop resting on their laurels and actually start adding meaningful content/updates to their "thing" now.

Failed miserably at what? I use FM way more than GT7 if I ever even turn GT7 on at all these days. Do you really think any of these are going to change this downward spiral GT has been going in that some would say since GT5? Even though I liked 5 and 6 for what they were. Do you think a GT8 is going to change any of this or a FM or an AC Evo is going to all the sudden make a GT8 that much better?
FM is on PC. That first and foremost gets me using it let alone getting into the better physics, AI, FFB, cars and car classes, content and all around actual good racing. Although they could add some more tracks for sure.

I'm guessing that "new content" is never going to be a problem in each release, as tracks and cars should follow pretty predictable timescales. So after 0.3 we have, leaving aside "new content":
0.4: Multiplayer - step 2, Simgrid integration. This could be tough depending on what exactly step 2 is (e.g. nobody has really nailed AI enforcement of multiplayer driving standards yet)), and I don't know what simgrid is.
0.5: Single player championships. Really shouldn't be problematic, though they're going to need the finalised AI, which could be problematic if it's deferred from 0.3 as its absence in the video suggests.
0.6: Modding tools. Could be a lot of work, depending on how ambitious it is vs what they leave to the community or 3rd party tools.
0.7: Career updates. Doesn't sound necessarily that huge, and as it's vague they can drop any elements that turn out to be too hard.
0.8: Free roam - step 1.
1.0: Free roaming - this suggests something beyond the step 1 in 0.8, and some of the other things mentioned may also be significant work beyond what is listed up to 0.8.
I'd say yes, quite possibly at least a year, but we don't know how much work has already been done on each element, e.g. we know that some work has already been done on the free roam, they aren't waiting till 0.7 ships then starting work on free roam from scratch at that point. If many of these future elements have already had significant work done on them, 1.0 could be ready in under a year.

I’m sorta ashamed of how little time I spent on the last update. I guess for me this summer, if I had to wrangle the PC away from the kids and set up my wheel, it was gonna be straight to AC to practice for HPDE on my local tracks every time.

I spun a few laps in ACE this weekend after seeing this news and damn, you forget how good it is. Especially for a beta. I have a feeling the improved sounds will make a big impact on enjoyment. I definitely feel they are the weak link for me right now, especially with certain cars.

Great feeling now. Finally the FFB feels wonderful for me. Took a little bit to get the ratios perfect but no big deal.
The menus are so clunky though. Whyyy? Hit apply. lol
The cars feeling are great. The tires are really connected to the FFB big time. You'll feel a tire lift off the track for sure as the wheel goes light. Suspension is great. This is way more acceptable than what we've had so far.

The performance is wonderful too. Now I can go back to 4k. No stutters, smooth.
The AI however are still wonky as hell though. 😬 They remind me of Forza Motorsports AI before they fixed it where cars in groups will just wildly brake for no reason. Especially in front of you. Yikes. I have confidence they'll fix this though in time.
Super happy that they spent the time to finally bring this to a good feeling usable state. Didn't use any multiplayer so don't know how good that is. Not big into that.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Assetto Corsa EVO Update 0.3 Now Available in “Open” Beta Test Branch

If last week’s keynote with Kunos Simulazioni’s Marco Massarutto detailing what’s to come in the third major update for Assetto Corsa EVO piqued your interest, you’re in luck: you can get to grips with it right now. Although there’s a catch...

I think this must depend on the settings - car, track, difficulty maybe, as I tried a couple of 5 lap races yesterday, one before the update, one after, and didn't have any significant problems with the AI. I also tried a 5 lap race on max difficulty in Forza Motorsport, and while the AI wasn't as terrible as it has been in the past, I still got rear ended into a corner at one point, and saw multiple instances of AIs just driving off the track for no reason. The AC Evo AIs were more timid, FM AIs more aggressive, as you'd expect for the AC Evo AIs currently being fixed at the extreme safe end of the spectrum.

The 0.3 physics update seems like a good step forward to me, I felt like my ability to control the car with a controller is better. Still a fair bit short of how well I can control a real car, but a lot better than it was. I was able to comfortably win a race against the AI in the new version, with the same car and difficulty that I couldn't win in the old version (in the old version, the difficulty varied a lot with car, some cars were really easy to win with on max difficulty, others really hard, so you have to compare with the same car). My fastest lap was around 1.5 seconds quicker.

The first race I did in AC Evo was with the Audi RS6 on Red Bull Ring. At the start, there were AI's that just stood there not moving. Others that hooked completely left or right instead of just going straight. 😬 😂
The Huracan Trofeo was a bit better but I'm just going to guess that it's a per car or per class issue.
I mean, in AMS2 I have AI mistakes at +10x and they lockup or go off track in corners, miss apexes. So I guess it's all in what you want. It's funny in AMS2 to be following an AI and then watch them spin going into a corner like they were nervous you were behind them. 😄

The physics and FFB have gone way up in my opinion. This is the first time I've used Evo and thought that I could continuously get back into it night after night instead of just trying it and then waiting for the next update.
