One more question for all the experienced GT3 people.......

When I buy a car in GT mode and tune it i sometimes take it into arcade mode but i have noticed that i cannot turn off the Assists. I can do it with cars in the arcade menu but when I select them out of my garage it wont let me turn assists off. Anybody else had this problem?

Any help appreciated!

go to free run mode and turn it off in the settings. Then go back to your race.

i want to turn off the assists in free run mode but it will only let me do it with cars out the menu, not the ones out my garage

That makes no sense, i have no trouble going to the settings and setting it to 0

Tune them in free-run mode/whatever I don't recognize you prblem.. explain more..

Sorry, try and explain a bit better.

The assists that stop you from wheel spinning and skidding wont turn off when i load a car out of my garage in free run mode.

Pt, you mean TCS, the Traction Control? If that is you can always turn it off except if it is a Timetrial or Licensetest.

Go to Free Run.
Go across to the yellow "Settings" icon.
Go across to the far right. There are settings for, where applicable, downforce (front/rear), ASM, TCS, AYC, VCD. All cars have the ASM/TCS option available to select. Turn both options to 0 to turn them off.

Time Trial cars can ALSO have ASM/TCS turned off, if you have this option turned off in the main options menu.

Thanks for the help. Its been bugging me for ages..............

Thanks :banghead:

Only for you lucky PAL users. Us NTSC people get stuck with having them on. Maybe that's why your license times are tougher than ours.

Really?

You cant turn them off?

Every car i've driven in real life that has Traction control has had a switch to turn it off.
Think some things in GT3 should be made more realistic like damage and being able to have the inside view of a car with steering wheel, gauges etc. Would make things more interesting

Especially the inside view of the car..... not only more interesting but also easier to actually gage distances and such ..... :)

inside view would probably be drivers view and without peripheral vision makes the offset view hard to use... one needs a bonnet view thatis centered.

glad your question was answered so quick tho :)

well not all cars with traction control IRL could turn off the traction control.

too right MD. the astra SRI doesnt have a switchable TCS

Der Alta also said only on PAL but NTSC versions can be turned off as well. Some of the Lisence Tests I turned them off because it helped me get a gold. I know for a fact they can be adjusted in the options menue. All you can do is ASM on/off and TCS on/off... no fine tunings.

In the NTSC Options menu, you can generically turn off ASM/TCS for all the arcade cars. This only affects arcade cars, not garage cars or license tests/ time trials. Garage cars must be adjusted individually, and TT/license cars cannot be adjusted at all.

Try it. I turned both options to OFF using that method, and I was forced to run all the LTs/TTs with ASM and TCS full on.
