The Aston Martin Bulldog (which was designed by William Towns, who also did the Lagonda) was a one-off mid-engine supercar powered by a twin-turbo version of Aston Martin's 5.3L DOHC V8. Peak power was a claimed 700 horsepower, while the top speed was pegged at 237 mph (though the best it could do in real-world testing was "a mere" 191 mph). In other words, it can keep up with many modern supercars.
