I have a Aston Martin v8 vantage 99 that have 603 pp at 961 bhp and 1487 kg whith full downforce at the rear wing. If I lower the hp or add wheight the pp goes up? Is there any other cars that have this amount of power so the pp goes down when you tune it above a certain hp? At minimum downforce the car has only 578pp and is very effective in drag-racing. Even if it is a slow starter the power is fearsome.

dont understand what your tought but you can "adjust" the HP/Extraweight/Downforce on ALL cars

What he's getting at is the fact that as he lowers the Hp, the PP goes UP. The cerbera Speed 12 also does this, as does the X2010. Its probably got to do with driveability.

When I first got the X2010 I tried to get it to 999pp, and found that adding a small amount ballast and changing the ballast position raised the PP. I have not come across a car yet where adding power decreases PP. Can you elaborate of this?

Drop your X2010's Hp in about 5% increments. Not the PP change right down to 50% power. Right them down if you must then look over it when your done. You should notice a PP INCREASE at about the 1300-1200hp mark, it goes up slowly, but, none the less, to goes up. The Cerbera Speed 12, 80% power has more PP than 100%, throw 200kg into wiht 100% power, the PP will also increase.

The Buick Special does. I'm not at home so I don't know at the exact point but when I tuned it and removed the super changer the pp went up:). Weird

Speed 12.

I also noticed this, I can't debate if it's good or bad.

This happened in GT4 aswell, it is to do with the drivability of the car. If you have lower pp the race will be more of a challenge. Lowering downforce lowers the pp of the car because there will be less grip when cornering. Same should apply to putting on harder tyres, lowering the engine power etc.

In GT4 doing this affected the amount of A-Spec points you got, I'm not entirely sure if the same is true for GT5.

He isnt talking about lowering the PP with lower Hp. He is talking about the PP INCREASING when he lowers Hp. Lowering the Dowforce thoughwil lower the PP no matter what car you use but there are certain cars whose PP goes up with the addition of weight or removal of power.

I can maybe understand the addition of weight increasing pp if it makes the car more balanced (like weight towards the rear of an FF etc.)

Toyota 7 got it too. I got 2 of them, 1 having like 7** HP and the other 9** HP.
The less powered one got like 761 PP and the one with 9**-ish HP only got 732 PP...

I presume the 900-ish one has the high RPM turbo and the other has the mid-RPM turbo?

If so that is something completely different.

Interestng that the first couple posts mention both the V8 Vantage and Speed 12, as these two cars have an advantage over others in seasonal drift trials as well. Look at the rankings and cars used, I have experimented with these over other cars and similar lines/speeds produce more points in the Vantage and Cerbera. PD needs to fix that...

And Buick special 💡

Perhaps adding weight aids traction?

Sometimes, shifting ballast to the rear adds marginal pp (2-3pp)

This is a good sign that the pp-system really works in some way i think.

Im sure that this is the reason, dont have the cerbera and i dont drift, but in the aston you have super-power under 600 pp.
