I'm screwing around with the Aston Martin V8 Vantage '99 and bought all parts for it. Except the wing because it looks ugly.

Without the supercharger its got 851hp/6800rpm and 765ft-lb/5400rpm with 570PP.
With the supercharger its got 960hp/6000rpm and 913ft-lb/4900rpm with 566PP

With the supercharger and adjusting the Power Limiter, dropping it to 880hp brings it up to 576PP. Without the supercharger it just goes down.

The powerband does seem to drop off a little more and quicker with the supercharger on, but the hp and torque numbers still seem higher than without the supercharger.

Anyone know why? I might be missing something, not reading the powerband right, or in general just be retarded.

Thanks guys!

Edit: Did the speedtest with traction control set to 2 (I figure more consistent results can be gotten that way). Without the supercharger it was .023 quicker to 60 and did the 1/4 mile .16 quicker than with the supercharger. With the supercharger and limiting the power it's right in the middle of the other numbers =\

I can't say for sure, but I have seen this on other cars as well. According to the AM site this car came stock rated at 420bhp. You have already more than doubled that with the upgrades. I suppose that there is just so much you can get from any given motor and anything more is just overkill.

I would imagine that over a longer distance the supercharger would show it's worth, acceleration an grip will surely be limited by the chassis and tyre width at lower speeds, as said any car has it's limits. Try a run at top speeds with and without the supercharger.
