ASUS Lamborghini VX Laptops

The corniest standard feature of the Asus Lamborghini range is the fact that during boot-up they emit proudly the sound of a Lamborghini engine. Really.

The previous VX2S series are now being run out at around $1,999-2,299AU if anyone is interested in cutting their resale losses.

So what? I have Homestar Runner going "Doo, doodoling, ding-ding-ding-ding ding ding ding...ding..." on startup. I think a Lambo engine startup noise is just fine.

Never said it wasn't fine, just a little on the corny side. Twould be a pretty cool option on my laptop imo. 👍

Laptop performance pretty much peaks at around £1200, so anyone prepared to pay more than £2000 for a laptop clearly doesn't give a crap about performance. I wonder how much it weighs. For $4000, it had better be so light it needs its own anti-grav device.

IF I was crazy enough to spend $4000 on a laptop, I'd rather have this one:

If you have windows, you can choose other sounds for many events, including power up.
My laptop makes the sound of a starting car that drives away when I start up.
And a crashing sound when powering off :D

You can most probably change the sounds on all the popular operating systems though.
I only use Linux for school, so didn't change have a look there, since the sound is disabled on school pc's
