I am having a great time driving the Sebastien Loeb challenge with the wheel.
All Aids Off, except for Skid recovery force, and ABS set to 3.
the rest is off, and I find this challenge extremely "cool" and somewhat realistic. (it's a game afterall)
This is one of those events that I will find myself repeating often. Love the car, love the trial and error feel to the inputs, Love the accomplishment. Thanks PD, I look forward to your Expansion Pack to GT5 !!!

Question to Rally drivers, what is the best way to negotiate the tight 180 hairpins, this is where I still suck, for I don't want to stop completely, but it is too easy to oversteer in those areas.

As I am doing now, I find myself coming into 1st gear, never stopping completely, and shifting early and throttle at approx 75% on way uphill.

I agree with you, the rallying events are by far the most enjoyable, the sense of been on the limits of grip and all

I use a DS3 so im not sure if this is possible with a wheel, but I tended to flick it in, tap the handbrake just before the apex then throttle out a the back comes back around nicely. May just be my style though

The skid recovery force kills rally cars, I would turn that off for a start.

I ran those challenges with ABS at 1, SRF on, driving line on, trans on AUTO. This allowed me to concentrate on my driving and less on shifting and guessing at braking points on a track i'm not familiar with. Once i did that it took minimal tries to get gold on all 3. (I used a DS3, though, not a wheel)

Off may be realistic, but on will unrealistically improve your time. ;)
