If you have any questions reguarding this years event PM me.

.

I went to the first Drift Mania in their debut season at St Eustache a couple summers ago. It was a pretty fun little event, I might go to this one if I'm around that weekend to shoot some photos.

That S13 got really worked though...

Ya i missed that, I wasn't very happy I did, apparently he was chasing the green Trueno when he did it.

I'm not 100% but it looks like there will be a general admission price this year, $20 and no VIP I know it was like that in the 1st DMCC event that happened on ...sat but I dont know here, by any chance do you happen to know how to get there by TTC? I know you go to downsview station, but there was a bus that stoped right beside the place last year and I didnt take note of it.

maps of the area, and TTC info.

I sent an email to somebody to get exact TTC instructions to see if the bus mentioned above is the one I think it is, so this might be updated.

My bad, on all the other sites I made this I can alter the post title and I did to include the date, but ya cant so that on here, It's Aug 15th-16th Friday and Saturday.

Ok, I went down to downsview park today for everybody going by TTC, get the train to Downsview station, from there take the 101 bus and look for a big downsview park sign on the left side of the bus, its a very short bus ride, try and use my maps and remember them or print them to get an idea as to where to get off, this will be the last time this is updated likely til early aug since all that really remains to be said is the trip prep.

Small update on the cost and directions again.

The Sat event is the importaint one, when the days schedules are up I'll have another update.

Update time, tickets can be bought online at https://secure1.tixhub.com/PDP/DriftMania2008/buytickets.asp

1 ticket costs $24.20 total

If you order online it APPEARS you get in on Friday for free, I'm not 100% about this and asking for conformation, though you also get a free tshirt if you order online as well.

Sadly I still have yet to get a event schedule and will update again when I get one.

Event prep

ok last year I went unprepared, and day one wasn't the best it could be so I'm gonna take my experience and hopefully you learn from it if your coming down.

First things 1st, Eat in the morning, this event I'm guessing based on last year is going to be going on from 9am-7pm each day, so your going to need some energy.

Sunscreen: ya, last year on day one I didn't use any, I don't advice you do the same.

Maps: You may wanna print, draw, wright up the directions I've given, if you need clarification, PM me and I'll try and help the best I can.

Bus fare: this goes without saying if your coming by TTC, 4 tickets for the 2 days will be needed.

Parking: if your arriving by car, bring money, you had to pay to park, I cant recall how much it was, but none the less, you should have to pay.

Money: There are a few things to buy down there, if you wanna get some stuff bring money, there is also a food stand, though being a sporting event its overpriced.

Food: If your coming by yourself you may want to load a backpack up with some food and drinks, if your coming with a group i'd advise a cooler and pre-plan the buying/bringing of food so you aren't trying to get food the day of.

ID: There is some beer, if your of age (19) and wanna have a drink bring the ID

Camera: make sure they are fully charged, have batteries whatever, also make sure you make extra memory for them if you need it.

Chair: this is a gray area, but last year if you didn't pay VIP you were standing, all day, with VIP you got seating, but the thing is there is no VIP this year, so bring a folding chair at your own discression.

This is all I can think of for now, if I think of anything I'll update this list.

Edit, yes buying online for $20 gets you entry for both days.

Looking forward to a go show this year, I got the driver of the Green Trueno to agree to gimmie a ride on the track, providing the orgenizers don't have an issue with it.

I got a chance to go to round 4 at downsview (first time going).

SICK EVENT!

I've never had so much fun...
Took a bunch of video clips and made a mini movie :sly:

Lemme know what you guys think and hope to see more GTPers out there next year!
