Hi fellow racers!

I have a GT500 & GT300 league running every week for clean Australian & New Zealand racers who are interested and looking for a challenge or just some good racing.

Each race goes for roughly 1 hour. Settings for the race are as follows;

Damage: Heavy
Penalties: Weak
Track Edge: Real
All AIDs OFF

GT500 Regulations: 512HP 1050KG
GT300 Regulations: 335HP 1050KG

The GT500 & GT300 races use the F1 point system and is a series of 8 rounds.

1st = 25
2nd = 18
3rd = 15
4th = 12
5th = 10
6th = 8
7th = 6
8th = 4
9th = 2
10th = 1
11th and below = 0

Time zone is GMT+10 (Sydney)

R2 - Indy Road Course - CLOSED
R3 - Grand Valley Speedway - CLOSED
R4 - Nurburgring GP/D - CLOSED
R5 - Cote d'Azur - CLOSED
R6 - Monza (Rain Start) - CLOSED
R7 - Fuji Speedway F - CLOSED
R8 - Nurburgring 24HR - CLOSED

Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd at end of the season.

Only SUPERGT and JGTC cars allowed entry. No MODs. Oil Change ok!

Tyres are not restricted as its up to the driver to choose their tyre type for the race (RS, RM, RH).

Clean racers only. If your interested add my PSN: Oni_chan.

Note: If my friends list is full just send me a message on the PSN and ill make space for you if your keen.

I've been doing a few series here on GT Planet.

It's always a little difficult (time zone) with the bulk of the series being run either by UK or US hosts.

I'll send off a PSN req later this evening.

HP regs are fine for the GT300. Only the RX7 goes to 337 with an oil change and engine worn in.

HP regs for the GT500 are lower then what the Denso Supra (518hp), Xanavi GTR (530+), Xanavi Nismo Z (540+) reach but its much easier to regulate those cars out rather then have a flurry of NSX's with a turbo (06 NSX + Turbo = 522 without oil change/engine worn in) so sort of makes it unfair.

I would jump in! But the time zone difference maybe too much for me...

Hate to sound picky, but with day-light savings at the moment. Sydney is GMT+11.

But race start is 9pm Sydney time.

Right?

Sorry mate forgot about day light savings. You are right though, 9pm Sydney time is race start. Lounge opens at 8:30pm for qualifying and setting up your car if you haven't already done so.
 
Sounds good is there any spots left? I'll get a couple of cars set up tonight for wed night racing and for next week. It's good to see racing at a time thats good for aussie's
 
Hey GTevan1080 - yes there are still spots left so just add my PSN to join in on Wednesday night. Both GT500 & GT300 are open to drivers.

I just noticed you are in Japan Imari, while the series is Australia/New Zealand i tend to find no problems with lag from JPN users. So i don't mind you joining us and your only a few hours behind our time zone so makes it easy to meet up.

Definitely send me an add the next time your online.

Damn willco you'd be fuming cause you would have been in that battle with me and Toiv on the last 18 laps. I was spewing when you disconnected mate. Would have been a close one.
 
hard!!! u, toiv and me all pitted twice, i pitted 2 laps after you's, i would have been able to push you's on the last few laps... we all would have passed taital and would have finished within 2 seconds of each other.. after 40 laps!!! far out man, spewin, but that was one good race up to then.. spewin about my crash with 'lost', i didnt see him, thought i was through. unintentional, felt bad after that.

Man it was awesome racing after that last stop you, toiv and me made. After you disconnected, toiv and i got onto the back of taital and spent about 1-2 laps trying to find away past him as he's tyres were pretty worn out, eventually i got around him and push about 1 second ahead before toiv got around him a lap later and charged after me bringing taital along with him (in the draft), then taital got in front of us both again. Was a huge battle!

After another lap i got in front of taital again then he proceeded to run it wide in turn 2 leaving the door open for toiv to fly through and get on my bumper. Me and toiv pushed hard to get away and for the last 5 laps we was swapping positions every lap until the final lap toiv took a late brake attempt into the final chicane and binned it into the wall as i proceeded through to win by 2 seconds. It was a ripper of a fight!

In the first section i could pull away in the IS350 but that Celica just had more grunt in the longer sections and caught back up in the draft. It was intense! Was sweating hard during that battle! As was Toiv.. haha

Mate if your connection held it could have been 5 people within half a second of each other going over the line. Toiv, You, me, taital and mark would have been battling till the finish line.

FYI For non-Australians it means annoyed but with extra feeling.

For the race. I'd had no time for practice leading up to the race. So I had to work on car set-up in the lead up to the race. Turn a lap, exit to lobby and make a few tweaks, back again, repeat etc. I ended up with a high-downforce setup, during the race, I could hold with anyone through the winding sections. But on the straights I was left for dead.

Shame, but still a good race. Top four drivers were battling close, right to the line, after an hour's racing. So that's a sign of some good close racing.

Yeah i knew you had little time as i was sitting in the lobby watching you jump in and out with tweaks. Let me know if you would like to try my setup in the IS350 as i am happy to share what i got. Spent a good 4hrs getting it how i like it.

I watched the replay this morning and kept an eye on everyones splits. It was pretty close all round! Was surprised. You definitely had the first sector nailed down but the last 2 with their straight sections showed how our IS350s lack top end. Next race is Cote d'Azur. It's going to be an interesting one. A lot of windy sections!

yeah man.. i can only suggest clearing your cache in GT5 as well as checking that only your PS3 is using the net during that 1hr race. You missed out on another good race.

Hopefully for the GT300 your connection holds as the points are pretty tight! check the spreadsheet out.
 
did you watch the replay from last night yet? I was spewin i got spun around on the first lap. was 16 sec behind after that. from then on, it was just about getting some points. at least i managed to go from 10th to 4th on monaco, not easiest for overtaking!! Id like to know who spun me tho, for vengance reasons...
 
Yeah i watched it a bit in the morning but didn't see the incident your speaking of. I did notice you was WAY behind at one point. Ill have another look when i get home to see the 'offender'. Though i am pretty sure i know who it was.

Was a great race though. Still don't know why i was given poll when i qualified 6th and never left the track.
 
there was no way i could keep up with you and mark. i was loosing about 2/10 sec per sector! was good race though, i was happy with my driving.
 
just noticed, 3 drivers tied on 58 points in 2nd place! wow! still anyones to win.
 
Yeah 3 drivers tied on 2nd. It's going to be impossible for my Lexus to hold its own around Monza. I'm hoping for a top 5 finish. Just to many straights on Monza that kills my cars time around there.

It's going to be so close to the end of the season.

BTW - Silvia S15 RM's race season will start after the GT500. Ill try get more people interested and we will be running 2 man/woman teams for the series. Driver and Team prizes for winning the series. Faster drivers will be teamed with slower drivers to make it fair.
 
I missed both of this week's races. Been really busy this week.

I had done a good amount of practice around Monaco too. Not that I was really confident though, hard to be when it's Monaco.

Will be back on track next week.
 
I was wondering where you went off to Mic_Col. Glad to see work has eased up for you to jump back in. You missed a few great races while you were working.

Next weeks race will be interesting.
