Well, just did the A3 trophy 2 minutes ago and noticed that the Audi A3 you can buy at the dealer, the V6 3.2 one with 250 hp sounds EXACTLY like the Honda NSX (the normal NSX i think, not the Type R).

OK, the Audi engine tops off earlier, the limiter kicks in at 7500rpm but other than that it`s the exact same sound.....

Polyphony: "Well, a generic 3.2L V6 should have this sound, that should do it lads 💡 "

Too bad it`s that obvious.... :nervous:

EDIT: Is it me, or is the VTEC sound even in the Audi engine?
EDIT2: If I am wrong, sorry, but just seemed suspiciosly(sp?) close to me:)

I agree that the a3 doesnt sound at all like it should. It is the same 3.2 vr6 as the R32 that was derived from the original 2.9l and 2.8l vr's that had been running for over 10 years. I wish they could get the sound of the VR engine right, it is one of the most unique sounding engines imo. I have a corrado vr6 and i never get tired of the sound the 15* angle puts out. 👍

Off topic: I also like the Corrado, it's a great car indeed :) Here in Germany its insurance competes with the Porsche 911s though......too bad, because there're some nice ones for really low prices :)

Thats crazy! They're not that much here in Canada for insurance, which sucks for you, cause they're such amazing cars.

Back on topic, alot of cars sound the same if you listen close enough. I wonder how many sound files there actually is?!

My favorite is the sound of the Dodge ram - Isn't that supposed to sound like a diesel engine? lol It sounds just like any old car in the game.

yes they do sound the same but they have very similar engines so thats prolly why

Yea the first time i got a ride in a corrado i knew i wanted one.. i havent regreted it since.

You got 3 for the price of 2? :dopey:

Yes, the insurance is stupidely expensive because all teenagers who just got their drivers licence want only Mark 2-3 Golf GTI, GTI 16V, G60 or, as I said, a Corrado..... They drive too fast, have an accident on the way back from the disco with 3 other "friends" in the car, they all die and that's only one case.......It's relly too bad that it's our fault, not the cars'.

Wow, your VRSECHS looks awsome man, congratulations 👍

Back to topic, they may sound alike in real life, ok, but not exactly the same!!! I can't even imagine an Audi V6 with the VTEC sound in it :(:(

I've driven the Audi A3 3.2 V6 Quattro IRL, and the sound in-game is pretty close. I know what the original poster meant as once you crest the redline it does start to develop a slight V-TEC yowl, and I admit to not pushing the demo model I testdrove past the redline, so I never heard this myself, but the engine sound up to the redline is pretty accurate, even so far as "feeling" very short.

I agree with you guys that it does sound pretty similar to the nsx's engine.

off topic: you know what cracks me up with Corrado's? If you ever break the back protection glass over the lights on your Aston Martin Virage, just buy the ones from a Corrado and put them upside down. You gain something like 500 bucks haha.

Yeah, I've noticed a few cars in the game use the exact same engine sample. I noticed the Dodge Viper's engine noise duplicated in several other manufacturer's cars. It's a shame they couldn't get an engine sample noise for every car. Overall I'm still happy with the level of realism they achieved in representing all 700+ cars :D

If you can afford an Aston Martin I don't think spending those extra 500 bucks are a real problem.

maybe offtopic but...I put on my chevelle racing exhaust. I thought it would had the classic muscle car sound. But surprise: it had the same sound as skyline! very strange :odd:
