I understand your confusion. I think it's kind of stupid that Audi gave the same name to a completely different car. Should be the R19 in my book.
Renault have the rights to any model designation RXX from R19 upwards. Was used for it's F1 cars.

Well they still could've called it the R18 Evo
True. The problem with that is that it sounds like an improved version of the current car as opposed to a new-from-the-ground-up car which this is. RS19 could have been an option too.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, we ain't getting any factory LMP model while they are still competing. As high quality as the graphics are it offers a great opportunity for the competitors to zoom in around the car and get a close look at all the little aerodynamic tricks. It ain't happening. Also I hate that the name of the car hasn't changed one signia. They've never done that before. I love the car but it is completely different from the ground up from the R18 of old, built off an entirely different monoque. I don't understand why they would do that because it will make internet searches impossible and it seems bad for marketing, because there is a big media buzz and a lot of publicity around a new model, but like I said, they didn't change the name one signia. Why would they not at least refer to it as the R18+ as they did when the R15 got an upgrade? You would think they would at least do that considering that this car is way more different from the R18 than the R15 and R15+. Makes no sense and it bugs the hell out of me and I'm a huge Audi fan.

Forza 5 has already prepared a R18 evo 2014, hope it will be set for Gran Turismo 6 with most of the LMP Hybrid models.

That is the R18 E-tron Quattro hybrid, you can tell by the way the headlights and nose shaped. As are the intake snorkel, wing endplates, and the cockpit is much lower.

I think a hole has been poked in your post.

This is the 2014 Audi R18 e-tron quattro which was given it's full official launch yesterday with the race livery.

I like the updated livery bit it looks more random than 2013. I'm not sure about the black panels on the wheelarches.

PD should include this car as well as the other LMPs from recent years.
We got the Peugeot 908 & Audi R10 in GT5, the Audi R18 in GT6, and that's it. All other LMPs are from GT4.
I'd love to see more LMPs in the game, as well as more race cars such as GT3, DTM, WTCC, etc.

In the early 2000's, they just had a far superior car. When they switched to diesel power in 2006, the gap between diesel and petrol was very wide. While that gap may be close to being non-existent now, they still win.

It's time for that to stop.

True the gap between petrol and diesel was tremendous but in order to win Le Mans you CAN'T just have a fast car. Example Peugeot vs Audi in 2008. Peugeot was 3.5 seconds faster than the Audis per-lap. The car has to be reliable, you have to have a good strategy, and the teamwork has to be perfect. The Audi squad know their cars inside and out that if anything goes wrong (In which case it's Le Mans anything can happen) the team knows how to find the problem and fix it

This car is amazing in Forza 6. Hopefully we see it in GTS/7
