I saw in the press in the past few days that Forza are releasing a car pack which includes the Audi R18 :-) along with the glorious 787B which is well behind the world of gt5 on that one ;-). It has made me somewhat jealous as the R18 is an engineering marvel.

Lets face it i and many others like me are sick of all these Nissan's and variations of the GT-R it is ridiculous how many there is and its time there was some more outside the box cars added to GT5.

Was just wondering what other peoples thoughts were on this and what cars they would like to see in the game?

There are so many posts on this already, please search.

Personally, I don't necessarily like the R18, I mean it'd be cool to have in the game, but I still hope they focus on road cars before race cars.

Looks about right. The entire car is designed to create downforce, and when that downforce is combined with slick tires and a capable driver, the cornering speeds should boggle the mind.

On another note, I'm with dylpro. Both on the subject of road car priority and on the overposting of this thread and those like it.

Kaz mentioned in an interview that the multiple models issue (i.e. 2k skylines, miatas, etc.) probably wasn't such a good idea afterall. Look for this to change in GT6.

I don't dislike it as much as some, there are different models that respond to tuning differently. Cars that bug me are those that are identical but available in multiple markets (i.e. Nissan Primera 20V and Nissan Primera 20V (EU)).

I hear what you are saying regarding the road cars before race cars. I was just using the R18 as an example as Forza are providing a mix of all cars rather than just run of the mill stuff.

I want good road cars too instead of all the same crap Japanese cars. When there is European and American cars which are far better.

Then post it in one of the 30 threads that already exist on the topic instead of creating another thread.

Not posting it to rant if you were to kindly read my post firstly before posting a pointless comment i only wanted to know other peoples thoughts on the topic!

I read your original post and it is making the assumption that people think the exact same way you do and they don't want the Nissans or other (in your words, crap Japanese) cars. Also, outside the box cars... hmm... Ferrari and Lamborghini don't count at all in that respect? If you want this car in the game then post in the Feedback section and possibly it will be included in a future update and/or GT game.

Whilst the R18 is undoubtedly an impressive machine, it got pretty comprehensively dominated by the Pug 908's in the ILM series last year. The Peugeot diesel won every single race bar 1 (the Le Mans 24 hours) where the R18 came first followed by three 908's in the closest finish ever.

We have several R8's, the R10 and the 908. That'll do for me right now. Rather have some other stuff, like more group B cars.

In my opinion no they dont count as outside the box. In my opinion these cars are examples of outside the box:

Mosler
Ascari
Gumbert
Porsche instead of Ruf
Models from Pagani other than Zonda (As they do make other cars)
Plus some of the standard cars which i feel should be premium.

My post is to see what others would like as everyone has there own opinion :-)

Yeah you raise quite a good point there. The 908 is quite an impressive machine also and one of my favourite's. Group B's would be good like the old Audi Quattro and the likes of the Sierra Cosworth. 👍

Edit your posts please, rather than making multiples without responses to break them up.

Personally I'd like to see an Alfasud :)

Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your perspective) there are other places where you can make that request. This isn't the place.

Then this is merely a wishlist to be perfectly honest.

Would love a few Cossies and frankly stunned there is no Quattro Evo.

But to avoid turning this into a wish-list, back to the point. I got told that Forza's equivalent of GTplanet votes monthly on what they want in the game and the top 3 get made DLC. Is this true or is my mate just trying to make Forza sound better than it is? Sounds like a great idea to me regardless.

I like the idea of both cars being added both road cars and race cars and I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE AUDI R18 TDI ULTRA. I would also like to see upcoming new cars to the game for instance the new M5, some more Ferrari's not even new ones but 360CS, 250GTO, 599GTO and for race cars Gazoo Racing LFA and 86, Honda HSV-10, Subaru BRZ GT300, SLS GT3, Mclaren MP4-12C GT3 and more LMP cars such as new Toyota T030 Hybrid, the new P1 with fins. Also ther could be more premium GT300 cars. To be honest, I hope PD is more focused on GT5 right now than they are GT6. Cause as it stands if they give up on GT5 than I will consider GT5 not a bust but not a sucsess. As for standards they can stay that way if they can come out with atleast 40 new cars.

And yes it does sound like a wishlist but I will add Forza has a better DLC base than GT5 at least for now.

Good for them, and I'm not sure it was necessary to quote the statement you made a minute (literally) before when the 'Edit' button is right there next to the 'Quote' button.

It's a cool car yes, I went like "Oooo then meh..." It'll be cool to have the car in GT5, but surprisingly I don't care much for it, since I love driving road cars and all. Will love to see it GT6 instead to test out how well it'll handle. 👍 The Audi rally car is cool too, but wheres the rally course? Don't even bring up that drift track, I know already and doesn't count. Now my birthday persent, the Mazda 787B I was happily to see, "I suppose......"

Overall I'm not really surprized to be honest, people will start thinking others are jealous because that game has that and the other doesn't.

But I'll tell you this... I like their DLCs they release.

Addition of sleek race cars and removal of unpleasant boxed-machines can derail from what Gran Turismo is supposed to become, the purpose of directors of GT series is to represent cars in real life to the best of capability of their struggle, some fictional machines apart as a part of intention of showing their developmental process to players, not to add cars like in LMP classes excessively and purposely.

If you want to see LMP cars being in the game, I recommend you to buy other games other than GT mainly focusing on them in Le mans or so on.

Kaz is in thrall to Turn 10, does not have the courage to add new cars exotic cars and le mans!

Audi may have won Le Mans, but Peugeot won the ILMC constructors title taking every other race of the series.. and now with their help Toyota's TS030 will win overall
