The R8 LMS race car (playstation team) '09 is a car I got yesterday. At just over 5 million credits it was a lot of hard earned credits (I'm aware that it's a prize car, however, although I'm level 33, I just bought it for the time being).

Anyway, back to my question. The car I pretty much like. It's not the best and isn't really fast at all, however, I find it quite stable and decent to drive with a wheel.

What I want to know is what have others did with the above car. Have they left it stock or did the turbo upgrades and stage 3 engine upgrade. Also on the topic of tyres did they upgrade to medium or softs. I'm just curious and interested, as I don't want to mess up a good car with rubbish set-ups (I did all the upgrades with the Lexus LFA and found that the car turned out garbage in the end).

Any thoughts from people with this car would be welcome...

As long as you don't do irreversible upgrades you can always uninstall em to bring the car back to the way you like it.

With the racing cars, why ruin the hard work that the specific car company, Audi, done? Surely if they wanted to up the output they would of, but didn't.

If you do want to mess around with these beasts then i suggest you learn howto tune and setup race/road cars in order to understand why it doesn't have close to 900hp.

Either way, tuned or stock, the R8 LMS is a very solid race car :) I have all my R8 LMS fully tuned btw :)

Thanks for the replies so far. Will perhaps tinker with it, and if I'm not fully happy with the result I'll simply remove the upgrades. It is a good car as it is, needs a little more power though...

That is car from GT3 category so it can have more power than in real life :) I don't like to tune power to race car... If that Audi have 530 hp in real life I'll drive it without power tuning :)
