I have 11 LMP`s but i am way more comfortable with this one. It feels perfectly balanced. From the first moment i used it i felt like coming home. I did a comparison on Trial Mountain a while back and it crushed the opponents more than with the other LMP`s.

Today i again did a comparison but now on Nürburgring Nordschleife and it was almost 10 seconds faster than my time with the other LMP`s. And i don`t even know that track well.

I know performance wise it`s not better than the best of the other LMP`s but why does it feel so much better to drive?

I had TCS on 1, downforce on max, racing tyres (soft) and no turbo`s.

Yeah, it's the second fastest for me, around almost any given track. Here's my ranking:

1. Toyota GT-One
2. Audi R8 Race Car '01
3. Mazda 787B

There's no real explanation, it's just faster than all of the other LMPs... by far. Of course, some of the group C cars tuned to 1000+bhp may be able to compete with it...

my list goes
1. Nissan R92CP ( fast but it is a handful )
2.Peugeot 905
3.Bentley Speed 8
4.Mazda 787B
5.Toyota GT-ONE
This is clearly just my preference because I know everybody likes different cars But my favorite car all together is the Suzuki ESCUDO because it's got 1,050 hp and can be driven on dirt, but is really fun to drive around Eiger because it is easier to slide, but when you do slide you lap times come down by seconds

It's an opinion, but I think that at least 787B and 905 are faster and better, but still R8 '01 is still a beast.

I'm still trying to find my favorite car for the endourance races. I just now am hitting the bigger stuff, specifically the 1000k race, though I am almost level 35, I've just been putting them off.

Talk all you want about HP, I want something that's comfortable and handles just as well. What good is it when you have to pit every 10 laps for new tires or more fuel?

Yeah, the 787 is a great opponent. The first time i started the engine the sound of it made me want to vomit. But that feeling lessened quickly. Don`t know if it will get worse though when doing a small endurance.

i havent driven the audi R8 01' yet but ive found that my favourite one is the pescarolo judd GV5 to drive, out of the bentley speed 8, the audi R8 05, both Peugot 905's and the other ones which i cant remember

I have the Audi R8 '09 (Team Playstation), the Jaguar XJR-12 and the Audi R8 '01 so far. Started this game back in late April.

The '09 R8 is twitchy with a chance oversteer when not handled correctly. The R8 '01 is surprisingly forgiving but slower in performance. I appreciate the XJR-12 for it's sheer downhill performance and beautiful sounds coming from the V12 engine.

I believe the victor here is definitely the GT-One. Upon playing previous GT games in the series, I was happily satisfied with it's performance. I can't wait to get that prize car.

The GV5 uses very little fuel. When doing the Indy endurance this machine only had to refuel every 44 laps! It was by far the most difficult opponent. It drives well to. I like it.

I like it also more than the group C cars. When i said LMP i meant LMP + group C cars.

Yep, they are usually always categorised under the same name.

I know that in all of the online series in here, people have learned to not use the R8 if they plan on making an even series. It's banned from all the LMP series. That should tell you something about its speed :)

In offline, the GT-ONE can compete with it on tracks with long straights, but I doubt it can on more technical tracks.

You should try DeltaWing that car is amazing. It takes some time to learn how to drive but when you learn it that car is just the best. Lap times are a bit slower than other cars but because it's so fuel and tire efficient means you will make that time up by not having to go to the pits. I have won many endurance races with delta wing.

This thread is 3 years old and it's about GT5.
