I burned a CD a week ago, and for that week that CD worked on my Stereo system, but recently, my Stereo system does not seem to be able to read my CD, it say's " No Disk in CD2"( It's a 3 CD-Changer).

What could possibly be wrong?

The files are all .wav's so compatibility isn't an issue.

Your stero has a virus.

Is that even possible?

How old is the CD player? Is the disc still clean and scratch free?

It's fairly new only about a year or two old. I think it's fairly clean, it does have some dust on it..

Edit: My computer can play this disc.

Did you leave the cd in the sun for a while? All my moms trance cds are messed up because she left them in the car and the data on it melted.

My dad fixs hifi's so I know a bit about cdplayers.

There are three things:

1) What speed did you burn your cd? High speeds = less chance they will be read by the cd laser. I burn all mine at 4x.
2) The quality of the disk. Some CD-R's have terrible reflectiveness. If you hold the disk up to a light and am able to see through it, it is crap quality. Blue undersides usually mean reading problems.
3) Your laser is getting dusty/old and its effectiveness is lessened. Unfortunately "cleaning" a laser is virtually impossible. Blowing on it simply stirs up more dust, worsening the problems. Taking the laser out and manually cleaning is virtually impossible. Even if you dont manage to stuff up the tray gears and laser itself, the actual lense is inaccessible to cleaning agents.
