There seems to be a bug on the audio during gameplay where the audio just crackles at random places. I have this problem on every single race I've played in the past few days. Others on the official Forza forum have mentioned the same problem as well. How about you guys here?

I'm using optical out for audio...

No crackling here - sounds fantastic on my main 7.1 theater surround system and on the 2.1 system in my computer room.
I remember having a sound issue with Shift 2 awhile back and that was a connection issue which was easily remedied. If the sound generated by Forza was the problem everyone would be hearing it.

Possible you could have a bad cable??
 
I noticed the same thing with EMU 0404 USB DAC + two Genelec 6020. No problems with other software or hardware when using the same DAC and speakers.
