Australian automaker Elfin has finally approved production of its MS8 Streamliner roadster. The car first debuted in concept form at the Melbourne Motor Show in 2004. Problems related to emissions and noise regulations have been resolved, and the automaker decided last week that it could go ahead with production. The car weighs 2,400 lbs and has a 5.7 liter V8 with 325 horsepower and 443 lb/ft of torque. Production will be limited to 100 units, and availability will begin later this year. It will cost about $119,475 in Australia, which is equal to $88,500 in U.S. dollars.

I like it a lot, and even in PGR3 it is quite the car to drive. It looks as though it is GM/Holden powered, given the LS1 out front and what appears to be wheels stolen off a Commodore SS.
 
Viper owners need to sell their junk buy this instead...and people shopping for Vipers should think about this (or a 911).

Oh maybe I should mention the fact that I like this car.
 
Concept was made in 2004 when LS1 was all the rage, now it should be a LS2 or even L76 as that has taken the LS1's role.

Holden design team worked with Elfin to design this car, thats why it did the rounds of auto shows in the Holden stands.

Very few Viper owners here where the car is going to be sold.
 
Honestly, that front 3/4 view makes it look like a spider to me.

That said, the car looks very good. I hope it'll come to the US.

Any news on the Elfin Clubman? It's pretty an LS1 powered Lotus 7....
 
Everything looks good except for the treatment of the fron end. I hate the lines on the air-dam. Nopw if they can sell it here for less than 100k, it will sell like hotcakes, which is something no other Neo-Cobra has managed to do (spcifically, the Series 1).
 
It look sgood but it seems a bit pricey, especially when you consider that it's just an MS8 with more bodywork.
 
Very cool car, I wouldn't pick yellow though, a darker colour, maybe a metallic red.
 
Yeah, the TVR Super Seven :lol:.

It has a few sportscars in it, very Speed 12-ish lights, Marcos TSO vents behind the front wheels and a Weismann Roadster rear.
 
....It looks like a Daihatsu Copen mated with a TVR.

and this thing inherited the Daihatsu's grille. and overall shape...yech.
 
The car is a royal pain to drive in some cases in PGR3. Of course, thats a videogame and not real life...
