This is a poll to see who among my fellow Australian MotoGP specifically, but also all international fans here at GTP, who likes Casey Stoner or Valentino Rossi.

I'm a Rossi fan, I've been watching him since 2003, I've watched the rise, fall, rise again and fall again (and hopefully rise once more in 2013), he's an amazing rider, I think arguably the best of all time.

So I've left 4 options, some of you may not like either rider, but I wanted to see among the Australians how many here like Rossi or Stoner, and then if you're not Australian just Rossi or Stoner there too (international Stoner fans will be the most interesting to hear from I think).

I'm a motorsport nut. Bikes or cars.
Stoner is possibly the fastest rider I have ever seen on a clear track. If he is out in front or in qualifying, the bike is with him and he is on his own. Not sure anybody is as quick.
Racing is different though, and Rossi is the best racer I have ever seen in any discipline, ever. Bikes, cars, trucks. I have never seen a racer like him. For me he is easily the goat.
In my opinion, nobody even comes close.
The Doctor.

I am a Rossi fan all throughout. I still watch the Rossi/Stoner battle in Laguna Seca from time to time. Then Rossi vs Lorenzo in Catalunya. I agree with Skuh, Stoner is really fast in open track. Rossi is very good in passing other riders in any section or corner of a track.

I really hope he can bring it to Lorenzo next year when he moves back to Yamaha.

That Rossi/Stoner race at Laguna would have to be the classic. Stoner around the outside of Rossi:tup:

Rossi is Rossi, and you can't compete with Rossi.

As the biggest Aussie Rossi fan I know, I have to say that 07-10 were some if the best years in recent racing, sure he won 08 & 09, but Lorenzo and Stoner made those years interesting, Rossi is still the GOAT, but we owe a lot to those two for making the sport fantastic to watch.

Hope Rossi dominates 2013, and I'm banking that he will be awesome, but there's also a chance he's had his day, and maybe beating Valentino in the future won't be a hard as it once was.

Oh, of course.
(I think that I may have watched "Faster" about 100 times too many.)

He is getting older, but I do hope that he starts winning races again.

It'll be such a great year, Pedrosa/Marquez v Lorenzo/Rossi, those top four will make for the best battles... in 20, maybe 50 years if they're all on form.

Worst case scenario, imo, is Rossi and Marquez aren't up to stratch yet, Pedorsa and Lorenzo make for some good racing at the front, Rossi may have to settle for several 3rd-5th places, Marquez only getting on the podium occassionally.

Best case scenario, Rossi/Lorenzo/Pedrosa & Marquez, all get wins, (and from my perspective, Rossi wins the 13 Championship), and make for a very good season of racing and a very close championship.

I mean, with that many good riders, we can even afford for 1-2 of them to be sick (hopefully not Rossi or Pedrosa, that'd be pretty tragic), and who knows with Crutchlow, Bradl and Bautista, also all on fairly competitve machines, we should have some super excellent racing.

Fingers crossed, I think as long as the championship is close, and Rossi does 'alright', we can't ask for much more.

I think a lot had changed on Rossi's driving when he ran over Simoncelli. I would understand it completely if he's affected by the circumstances.

Rossi's performance has had nothing to do with that, it was simply because he was on a bike that wasn't as quick as everyone else's.
