according to the australian playstation website gt4 is due out end of january
and also in the offical australian playstation gt4 was advertised by retailer harvey norman to be released by the end of january

i so hope this is true

Well, I guess that's good news, but to some people here, they'll believe when they see it on the shelves or better yet...in their PS2.
 
Yeah, if I could get an australian version without the need for a chip, I'd do it even if it was more expensive..

atleast they speak english! I never buy my games in french anyway

NA is NTSC

From what i've read the AUS PAL version is going to be different from UK PAL version. Its a similar situation to the localisation of the Korean version. Apparently, the AUS version was going to have exactly the same cover layout as the other regions, but it was going to be an Aussie car instead.
 
For the 300th time, there is no release date. Forget what some third party store or magazine tells you.

It's Q1 2005, not January. Not March. Not 2036. No one knows when!
 
Well, we are already in Q1 05, theres only 3 months to go, and by now things would definately have needed to have been finalised for things like pressing of DVD's, printing of covers, printing of manuals etc etc etc, so there is a target date floating around SOMEWHERE.

Its not as though they just so oh well hope everything gets done before 31st March....
 
EB told me March 1st as well but I don't believe that. They just don't want to disapoint their customers if it gets pushed further.

If late January is correct..........I will throw a party and all of you are invited

My local EB said early March. I dont see why there has to be such a long delay. Japan already has the game so all they really need to do is translate everything into english. Oh well....back to prologue...

That's not all. There are regional differences as well that could have caused the delay. For example, the Nissan Skyline and Infinti G35, Mitsubishi 3000GT and Mitsubishi GTO. I'm sure there are other factors as well.
 
Hmm it sounds doubtful me thinks, a couple of retailers have even told me the 31st of March which is crazy. Basically you can't believe anyone about the release date, but I'd say from Febuarary to March would be when to expect it here in Australia.
 
That stupid Official Playstation website (Au) has 4 dates,

January
Q1 2005
Early 2005
TBC 2005

My local game store that is usually reliable says 3rd of March.
 
Well i have had issues with release dates soooo many times with games, but Harvey Norman gave me a website which they get all their info from.

www.powergames.com.au and according to that site it is March the 3rd 2005.

Aussie playstation website says early 2005. Im peeved that we havnt been given a release date yet, but i hope the delay could mean we get online GT4 straight away.
