Aussie's delayed, What about North America?

Okay yes the release dates are getting confusing

I looked in the aussie delay thread and didn't find if there were any confirmation that the north american version will still be set at Dec 14th?

Can anyone confirm this release date for north america?

I'd really love to have this released dec 14th since it's the last day of my final exam! ><
ARGH PD don't screw me over now!

I think that we're still getting it in December.
 
December 14 is my birthday, I hope PD dont forget about me, I already bought the DFP 2 days ago so I am practicing with GT3 to be ready for december DECEMBERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
 
There was no indication of a delay in PD's press releases, only the possibility of a delay for PAL countries (which include Australia). Could be something to do with the conversion to PAL format from GT's native NTSC (Japan/North America). Since the changes for the American version include only the language settings, there shouldn't be any delay at all.

Don't be so sure about that, it might include less cars due to license issues (or more), just like GT3 did (they had a different car instead of a lambo i think for the US version.)

i hope the American version is american continent wise, not just north american. (meaning, it should include spanish and french, and maybe even portuguese for Brazil). Europeans always get multi lenguage releases, it's about time Americans get the same treatment.

Well,i just heard that game has been delayed for Europe.It's set to first quarter of 2005 and not December 2004 as was previously stated.
 
take a look at www.playstation.com and look at the release dates....you'll see dat gran tursimo release date for Europe has changed...the game wil be relaesed somewhere in the first 3 months of 2005..:@:@
but it isnt a big problem..we can all play GTA san andreas:D

Sony UK has confirmed that Gran Turismo 4 has slipped into 2005 in Europe. The publisher had been hoping to release the game in December of this year - having scrapped the game's online features in order to try and make the deadline - but now it appears that localisation issues have proven insurmountable.

"We can confirm that GT4 will now be released in Q1 2005 for Europe," the publisher told Eurogamer this morning. "The localisation of GT4 across the PAL territories is a huge undertaking because the product is localised into 13 different languages across the PAL territories, therefore the process takes considerably longer than it does in Japan. The GT brand strives for perfection, therefore we need to ensure that the localisation and testing of the product is done to the highest possible standard."
 
I'm feeling pretty confident about Dec.14th for the US market. Otherwise they wouldn't be airing all those commercials on television already;)
 
I don't know if this means anything, but the computers at my work (GameStop) changed the date for GT4 from 12/14 to "December". Usually when they use the name of the month in the system it means that it will likely release on 12/01-12/02. Corporate gets these dates directly from the game producers, so.....

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!! Two more weeks of playing time.
 
IGN Gamestore just sent out an email of the revised release date from 12.14.2004 to 12.01.2004. The US may be getting the game 2 weeks earlier then expected now.

Knowing PD and their release reputation, i wouldn't count on it 👎 . Although, if they do release it two weeks earlier, then PD will be my hero!

Yeah Engrish needs to be the international language. Then that would solve our problem. :)

In a global market these sort of delay's are unacceptable really.

it was going to be the best. its not going to be the bestest because of 3 lousy months for one territory.

So the release date for GT4 in Europe is sometime in early 2005? But the U.S. is December 1st?
