AUTO-ASSAULT
An avid follower of MMORPG's form FFXI, ragnarok, and WoW. Some how Auto Assault (refered to as AA from here ON) gets me dancing to a different tune.
The appeal is simple: post apocolyptic future, vehicles with big guns, lots of explosions. It sure beats dungeon crawling, but AA's features dont really stand out from the rest.
scenario: Twisted metal, or mad max as id like to think. call them whatever you want, the 3 races are human, mutants and biomeks (cyborgs). In which whatever side you choose, you are always in conflict agaisnt the other 2, much like WoW. The amount of depth put into the background for this game is overwhelming for an action oriented game. Simply put, I just want to blow stuff up and look cool doing it.
gameplay: Twisted metal for the most part. Drive around and shoot your enemies. Get loot and buy better weapons/armor. To have a car in a MMORPG is great, but what if everybody has one? Then it wouldnt be as grand. Thankfuly, there is an element of gameplay that allows you to walk on foot. All the more challenging! YAY! No EXP losses are implemented in the event of death, I imagine that deadly skirmishes happen often.
character design: what i think is the low point, and initialy turned me away. seriously,
Enough said. would you pay $14 a month to look as dumb as this? As mentioned earlier "EVERQUEST ON WHEELS".
But this is all speculation! This segement will be updated when I actually play the blasted thing. If there are any beta testers out there, please share your thoughts. 👍
