I'm getting some wind noise through my doors when I get on the highway. The doors arent falling at all, they shut perfectly fine. The weather stripping looks okay. I'm assuming it's old. Is there anything I can spray or rub on the weather stripping to make it swell or expand to cut down on the wind noise?

Sometimes you can lubricate the weatherstrips to make them swell a little bit, or maybe reduce the porous-ness of them. If that doesn't work, you could do what I used to do on the Neon: Shim the folds of the weatherstripping with a substance that doesn't degrade easily. I tried stipps of kitchen sponge before, but they started to flake after 6 months of staying dry.

Keeping the same theme, I cut strips of a hard scouring pad made of plasticy fibers, and it did the trick. Nobody could see the shims, and my window didn't sound like Darth Vader breathing in my ear at 45 mph.

They never fell out of the stripping along the frame of the car (1st-gen Neons had frameless windows), and they lasted as long as I owned the car. I inserted these shims in 1996-97, and I had the car until late 2002.
