I cant believe i wasted 50 dollars of my saved up lunch money to buy that friggin game! :banghead: the physics are trash!! the cars are o-k looking and the performance parts are good.. U cant even TUNE them.. and then theres the physics. can u say CRAP!! every time u go into a corner the car goes spinning on u and if u dont wanna lose speed u gotta bump walls.. if u try to go too sideways, when u try to drift a hairpin u will bump right in the middle and then if u actually even make it across the hairpin u lose 50 mph, if u bump the wall ur going 70 mph this is really making me mad. I CANT BELIEVE I WASTED MY MONEY ON THIS CRAP!

yeah, thats what i did i rented it, and i played it once for about 30 mins. and then took it back, it sucked

Rent it...young padawan..;)

I always rent before I buy...you Americans got more cars than the PAL version, but the game gets boring after a few hours, no replay value really.

Go out and get your refund.

well...i tried to return it saying that it didnt work but then they dont give me a refund and offer me a new one!! then i told my brother to act like a retard and tell them that it didnt work on his playstation.. they said no again.. im screwed.. then the stupid pawn shop would only offer me 10 bucks for the piece of s***.. i accepted and bought me a big mac..

Lol..Are you mad because it takes more controlling skill to manipulate a car down Rokku hill than it does to take A GT3 car around trial mountain?..Poor guy....And you CAN tune it..You just don't know how..Which is sad..And you never played online..so you're missing half of the game..And you spend 50 bucks on it?..Damn it wasn't even 50 bucks brand new..Lol

Auto Modelista kix so much azz, you're just mad because you couldn't handle the game itself..EVERYONE i know that loves GT3..plays auto modelista and expects it to be identical..First of all..the game is a CARTOON..second..it focuses around drifting...So everyone that plays it that is a avid GT3 player..SUCKS!!!...I'm good at both, because I personally don't play a game for 30 minutes and dissmiss it as crap..I play it and get good at it..Then I can say if it's crap or not

Did anybody ever tell you how smart you are? Good job losing 40 dollars.

Actually Shinez, I had it for two days, played it about 5 hours the first day, completed it in about 2 hours taking my time with everything else, and then it was just crap...it was so easy to beat the AI...easier than GT3.

...Askia...Nice copying of what 2ez already said..Lol..I bet you couldn't even describe the physics..And Dodge..You can't complete the game in 2 hours...Maybe you got a gold on every track, but that isn't completing the game

And thats the bottom line cause 2ez2KiLL said so.

I didn't care for Auto Modellista, either. The biggest problem for me was that I couldn't use the right stick for gas and brake. Most of the customization seems to revolve around custom body graphics. I returned it the next day...got some different games.

the physics are horrrable!! come on.. can u actually even grip drive in that game?? come on.. cant they just at least try to imitate gran turismo physics??

secondly... drifting without countersteering?? thats brilliant!! i found the gt concept advance 3 for gba has better physics than auto modellista...

What is the other point of the game Shinez? After I got all golds I took out all of the cars I could fit in a garage (ony 30  No room at all for all the cars) and I took them out to arcade mode, beat all the records there...It's too easy.

hey man, i couldnt agree more....even the little custom graphics are ****e....why do people rave about this piece of crap?

Dodge the viper..first of all..in order to get all of the cars you have to beat 80% of the championships AGAIN....And second your garage isn't intended to hold every single car in the game..Why would you WANT every single car in the game....if you have a JDM type R Why would you want a USDM Type R...Or for that matter a DC5 Type R..OR a Honda Beat?..Do you want all of those in your garage?.....third..You never tried it on the internet either did you?..And as far as you people not being able to drift in this game?...That's pathetic...Seriously...I can't imagine how you could possibly drift in Gt3..and not be able to drift in Auto Modelista:lol::lol::lol::lol:

It was okay, but one I'd pay anywhere near full fare for - or indeed Platinum pricing. Most markets didn't get the on-line feature. The cel-shading just made it look like a PSOne game. Physics were standard arcade that we saw back in Tokyo Road Racer.

I did like customising the garage though - putting up the posters, arranging the oil cans and such. Must the same part of me that likes building houses in The Sims....

I like the game, just because it feels different than GT3 doesn't mean that it sux. The only aspect that I didn't like about the game is that if you hit the wall on some tracks, (not all) it is the fastest way around the track. but even GT3 has some corners in which if you ride the wall it is faster than turning around the corner. If you haven't played AM online, then I don't really think that you should be allowed to comment on the game, because online play would make up for anything that was lacking in the AI, and you would see that people are able to run fast times in the game without hitting the walls

Okay, but what the hell can you say to us PAL Gamers who didn't really get anything? Shinez, I like collecting cars, and that's why i would really like to have every single car in my garage, I try to do that with every game I play...:)

I borrowed it from a friend today. The same one who beat it under 10 hours and now wishes he never paid $50 for it.

Well, I popped it in. I wasn't expecting something great like GT. I expected something like a Ridge Racer style game, which is extremely fun. But, not AM... I find it very wrong that you can pick, not buy, a 280 HP Skyline R34 as your first car. I chose the Skyline, picked out all of the fiber glass I wanted, painted it, and added a HKS twin turbo, without spending a dime. Next, I started the first race. The first thing I noticed was the weak graphics. Jaggies everywhere, poor textures, and a slow frame rate (about 25 FPS, I suppose). Next, the Skyline, for some dumb reason, was redlining at 10,000 RPMs. What?! I don't think so. The final straw was that I blew past ALL six cars on the first lap. Huh? What happened to the racing part? Don't get me started about the physics. They're just bad in AM. Forget about using the breaks, or drifting, and everything else you learned in GT. Just steer the car in the right direction, and you'll do fine.

I can't check out the online multiplayer (no network adapter). But, I expect it to be even worse than the single player, with all of the wanna be racers with mentalities of a 12 year old bumping into the walls on every curve.

I think AM is a poor excuse of a video game, trying to cash in with cel shaded graphics and import cars. Just don't waste your time with it. Now, I know why my friend wanted to get rid of it so quickly...

Lol Once again another gamer who thinks all racing games have to be off of the same physics engine as GT3...First off.."Jaggies everywhere"..The game is done in cell shaded animation..It is supposed to be that way....Redlining at 10,000RPM'S...Sorry you're just flat out lying about that one....25FPS you've got to be kidding me...The game is a HELL of alot faster than GT3, i'm sorry if you can't realize that, maybe your optic receptors are just a little slow paced...Second....Right off the bat you can't bolt on a Turbo upgrade, And "HKS TT"..You don't upgrade to TT's man..it's just "Force induction upgrade Stage 1, stage 2"...And you have to WIN that you don't start out with ANY possible mods other than 1 other form of tires...As for your whole comment about "Forgetting about using brakes and everything else you learned in GT"...The funny thing is...AM Drifts ALOT better than GT, i'm sorry to tell you that..If you didn't figure that out, then you're intelligence is lacking..second "forget about brakes"?...That's just a idiotic comment to make about a racing game in the first place...Just steer in the right direction and your there...That's GT3 buddy not AM....You're more prone to spin out in AM than in GT3 10:1

That section on the Multiplayer aspect of it...I take it you never even played the game more than 10 minutes, because you would realize that when you even TOUCH the wall let alone wall ride, your speed drops dramatically...yeah..on some corners it's beneficiary..but as the other person said..The same thing can be said for GT3...For instance the corner cutting on Apricot Hill....

Next time you have such harsh words for a game THINK about what you're gonna say before you say it, and actually PLAY the game..thanks.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Well...I got Auto Modellista for Christmas (wow...is it really that old now?) for my Japanese PS2,along with Wangan Midnight and Gran Turismo Concept 2002 Tokyo-Geneva.I think the game is great actually..I have my own reasons of liking it.I shall explain why ----

The reasons why I love this game (not so much anymore, because I've done EVERYTHING in it -.-) is because it plays like no other racing game. And I believe this was what Capcom was trying to accomplish.Well...it worked ^_^.Most people are used to playing realistic games such as GT3 and get used to the physics on it,then are stuck with those until a new game comes out, then when they try it,they usually complain because it's not something they're used to,or something they wanna get used to any time soon.I played Auto Modellista at least 3 hours on Christmas right after I opened it.I was so shocked at how everything looked at first.I was like,"ummm...wow...this is...uhhh....different 0_0.".But once I saw all the awsome stuff you could do,such as...have your own garage that you can decorate, look at your car in your garage from different angles..and even put all sorts of sponsorship stickers on your car ^___^!And you can even make your own sticker if you want!I have never seen any of that in ANY other racing game...EVER.I liked how you could change mostly ANY part of the car to a different color also.I mean, you could have a white body, green hood, then end up having an orange bumper or something,haha.Well..I also have to say...the selection of cars was pretty nice (considering the fact since I got the Japanese version, there wasn't ANY american cars in there, hehe =D).I also liked all the tuning options you could do to your cars.It was a very interesting game if you ask me.The mountain passes, such as Ura Rokku (I think) and Akagi took some time getting used to because there was a lot of shifting involved, but once I got the hang of it,it was very intense!I know most of you that played it and thought it sucked, think that the only way you can have fun on it is to bounce off walls to get good speed, but that's not true.If you actually TRY to drive the way you're supposed to...you can actually get some REEEALLY good speed around them corners ^_^.It just takes some time and practice to get the hang of when to brake, then shift and accelerate.Well...after giving my reasons of liking the game,I guess I shall leave with saying this..you shouldn't say that a racing game sucks just because it isn't as good or has better qualities than other famous racing games...if it has different physics, just get used to them after practice..you'll like the game much better then =D

AE86Driver

sorry for making this soooooo long -.-

by the way, this wasn't meant to offend anybody that didn't like it..I was just sharing my feelings about the game

Well it did offend..IT OFFENDED ALL THOSE LOSERS OUT THERE WHO SUCH AT THIS SIMPLISTIC GAME!!!..AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA:lol::lol::lol::lol: LAUGH WITH ME!!! AE86!! LAUUGGH!!

0_o.....simplistic?Well....it does take SOME time to learn how to play it actually *_*.You can't just learn right off the first 5 minutes of playing, but ummm...if you wanna insult them "losers" as you'd like to call them, then ummm...yeah..that's all you @_@.I'll laugh at you later when you get flamed 0_0!wahahahahaha!*disappears*

Lol...But getting flamed is so much fun on GTP..I mean to see the kids just scurry away on their keyboards trying to comeback with a snappy retort....oh crap i'm gettin off topic..anyway..I actually did pick the game up in 5 mins..maybe because i'm just a naturally good driver..i mean....I beat Wangan Midnight from start to finish at the arcade my first try

well ya know...maybe I should laugh at a LOSER like you for saying you picked the game's physics up in 5 minutes =P.No way dude...I mean, you can't just sit down,then,"okay,there..I know everything" and drive really good.I don't care if you are a "natural".You or anybody else hadn't played any type of game like Auto Modellista before it came out because it was the first racing game to come out with those type of physics and the odd steering, rather than the kind you're used to -.-.So yeah...all I know is that you didn't just learn everything in like 5 minutes,so uhhh...quit trying to show off or something.Oh,and about Wangan Midnight,I don't know how the arcade version is,but if you played it on the PS2,then sorry dude...but you wouldn't go straight through it your FIRST try. It's kinda difficult..in some points..even for a "naturally good driver" <_<
