Normally I just start an endurance race and let it do it's thing.
But I have been working on the computer and have kept an eye on the Indy 500 that the Bob Brothers Racing team are currently running.
I choose my weakest driver to go out first.
When it was time for him to come in, it was going to default to my #2 driver, so I went ahead and changed it so it would pick my #3 guy. I wanted to keep working up in skill as the race went on.
After #3 finished his lap, it came up with auto pick set for my #2, which was cool, so I didn't have to do anything.
But when #2 came in to pit, the auto pick had selected the #4 to go out again!
I changed it to send out my #1 and he is currently on the track.
I don't know yet what it will do when he is done, but I should have enough laps to hit the whole cycle again.
It would be nice if you were able to specific the order you wanted the drivers to go out in, but I expected that at least it would use all the fresh guys once before going back to someone that is already worn down.
That is disappointing to know.
FYI, I am running Indy for the second time, because the first time I just set it and left and when I came back they had finished second.
I thought maybe they just weren't good enough, but now I'm not sure if that wasn't just due to bad pit strategy.
Right now I am 110 out of 200 laps into the race, the second place car is 3 laps down, the last place car is 7 laps down. 👍
