Do find the feature of automatically showing a replay after a race beneficial in any way?

I've always liked it. It's just another small little detail I've liked from all the other GT games.

Is there a poll? Because we need to vote the auto-replay out!

I sometimes feel like my PS is going to lock up right before it starts. The black screen.

What's even worse about auto replay is that there are no replay controls. You don't get to change the target car, or toggle the HUD.

This.

Also strange we can change camera angles, except to the in-car ones (meaning looking at the car interior and driver) on the auto-replay, and yet we can on the replay on demand.

Just a poll about this because I hate it and want to know what everyone thinks.

Personally, I wish there was an option to disable it (if there is, please inform me). I see it as just another thing to get in the way. If I want to see the replay, I'll go to it in the menu and watch it with full control, not just the replay cameras focused on my car.

I used to like the auto reply when you still can turn your head in the cockpit with controls, though PD shut that feature down with the latest update 1.02.....Feel so sad about it.....Still I like to watch my reply sometime to examine where I did right on control where I did wrong from another angle apart from hood view, it is helpful for me to learn a better drive next time.

It is so pointless as you have to quit out of it and use the menu option if you want to do anything constructive with it.

They went for the higher FPS route so they dropped it. Pre 1.02 had motion blur as well which lowered FPS on replays to 30, but I personally liked it. A slider to adjust it would be nice.

At the OP, I grew up when dial up existed, so taking a few extra seconds out of my day is no big deal.

There is a poll on the other thread on the auto replay. I guess these two threads should get merged so there is no confusion.

Oh, that's why. I like the motion blur as well and I didn't notice the FPS dropped to 30 from 60. So that's not a problem for me, LoL. Thanks for your info!

I don't really care as it's not that hard to press the start button.
It's slightly more cumbersome with a wheel than a controller.
Any such repetitive, meaningless action is bad in a high-tech interface.
Not hard, but not something Samsung would allow to happen. It's bad ergonomics and has a negative impact on the 'look 'n' feel' of the interface experience.
Changing disks isn't hard either, or waiting for the game to load (GT5 v.1.0) or anything else actually. Just lacking in finesse.

I chose No in the poll as I had found it annoying rather than useful. However, I found it useful yesterday: I don't normally watch replays but, after racing at Willow with the Ford GT 05, I watched the auto-replay as I like watching the Ford GT and, well, it was showing a camera angle of the first long sweeping right hander that was like a view from a helicopter and it was absolutely amazing.....didn't even realise it had that sort of view. I carried on watching and seeing Willow from the various angles is absolutely amazing. That track really is beautiful with it's scenery and setting. Thanks to the auto post-race replay, I have now saved my race replay so I can watch the Ford GT going round that track over and over again. Safe to say, I am no longer moaning about the auto replay (though I will still moan when it's a race that I 🤬 up and exited, only to have the replay appear......I don't want to be reminded of my mistakes thank you very much!!!)

Its pointless. Like Homer Simpsons "everything's ok" alarm. A feature you'd rather turn on than off.

Push the start button. Not hard at all.

But, there's really no point in showing it. If you could use it to take pictures, there would be a point, as I've driven around a track solely for taking photos. But, you can't do that with the auto-replay. And, when you're trying to restart a race, after a couple times it gets really old. If I want to see a replay, I can just hit the "replay" button on the race menu. I guess, it IS a bare-bones version of the race, but, you can get the same bare-bones feel in the normal replay which also can give you more information, so...yeah, I don't know why they included it. There was another game that had the auto-replay, as well, and I can't remember what it was.

I voted no. It is useless. If I want to look at the replay ill click "replay".

Another tedious item is that after EVERY part you add they have to load up the gallery view and press ok before you choose another part. And then another gallery view after that other part etc until you finish. It would be more efficient to allow you to add all mods and then on exit from there show a gallery view while it loads the changes. Just my 2c

There's no reason to have it start playing automatically after every race. Just one more thing to wait for.

I voted yes. My reasons are: I restart races a lot (whenever I crash hard or hit the AI and it's my fault - the situations that would not let you finish the race IRL). I also drive cars well below the max allowed PP (100-150 average, the max difference I have experienced and won was above 200pp; I allways use stock tires) and drive through the pit everytime I i do something worth of a penalty. I really enjoy the challenge and races are usually pretty close.
So when I finally win, the replay is like a moment of relax. 95% of the time I don't watch more than 30 secs. And because I drive bumper cam it's a way of seeing the car in action. But it is a great deal of satisfaction that it starts automatically.

However I also agree that it should be disableable (oh god, is this word for real?:boggled:). No one should be forced with the replay after the race.

If I wanted to watch the replay I'd watch the replay.

We should have the option to not show it and PD should enable the normal replay controls so that if we do want to watch it we can actually use it properly.

I too wish there was a way to turn this feature off. I know its just a simple click to get passed it but still, I'd prefer it just not pop up at all.

It's not a big enough deal to complain about. Just hit start, it adds a couple of seconds at most. I'm sure some people find it useful. It's not all about you.
