Why does the game auto-save so much? Is this of concern to anyone with a 'Launch Model' PS3?
So much redundant auto-saving is a waste of time; when much of game activity can be saved with one click of the 'Save' button.
Among them:
-loading up the game
-going into GT Life
-leaving game idle in GT Life (I swear I saw it auto-save when doing nothing)
-getting into a car (that's expected)
-setting some rudimentary options
-clicking on messages in Community
-all pop-up advisory
-claiming prize cars (3-4x on average)
-loading a race
-exiting a race
-exiting a race without actually racing
-updating used car lot
-claimed a prize car and used lot gets updated at same time (requires separate saves)
-getting a car wash/oil change
-buying parts in GT Auto (requires auto-save with a 'Updating Car Data' pop-up)
-exiting GT Auto after doing nothing
-buy and install tuning parts
-exiting tuning shop after doing nothing
