I don't know what's going on, but the past 2 days, my computer has decided to do something weird. On any window I have open that has to do with the computer (My Computer/My Documents/etc.), if the ability to scroll down is there, the page will scroll to the very bottom. If the option to scroll left or right is there, it will then also scroll to the right at the same time.

It will not do this on the Web however, unless, I try to select or upload something of which, the window will again, scroll down forcing me to manually enter the name of the file. It doesn't matter what it is, if the option to scroll down is there, it will do it, even if I'm saving a file & it brings up others starting with the same letter. Only FireFox, iTunes, & separate programs escape this issue.

Searching Google has been near worthless. Most people are encountering the issue with the scroll bar going up & down repeatedly. Even remotely trying to scroll up forces mine to go back down. Nothing on my computer has suggested a virus, & the only thing I've seen worth trying is a new mouse (that the mouse is dying), or that it is a video card-related issue & to update the drivers.

As always, any help is greatly welcomed. :indiff:

I'd start with a new mouse. It might be that the scroll wheel is going out.

Disconnect your mouse and navigate with the keyboard and see if it still happens. If it doesn't then it's an issue with your mouse. Before buying a new one, try either rolling-back or updating the drivers for it, or if it's a fancy-pants mouse then try reinstalling the software for it too.

correct me if i'm not, but if you can't browse your computer through a simple explorer, browse your computer using firefox instead, on a new tab simply type in a file location, like C:\ and you can browse your stuff normally like you would with explorer. i'd tell you if it worked but i'm on a mac now, finder and explorer just aren't exactly alike anymore.

Did Casio's advise, but it seemed to work at first, but quickly reverted back. However, after re-installing the drivers, the computer did recognize "new software & prompted an HP update.

Afterwards, it appears the update has fixed the problem. :)
