Hey, dumb question.

Is an auto tune a tune that you, of course, tune in auto on ssrx?

if so, all of mine are auto tunes

Thats the first thing I do when I tune any car on ssrx.. put it in automatic so I can square away the suspension with trial and error runs

Auto will run the same time every time. So you can test minute changes in toe and spring rate, down to the .001 of 0-60 times

On cars that require a 2nd gear launch I just flip the transmission with a really high final, turning it into a 1-5 instead of a 2-6

Then, of course, there are some cars that seem to be fastest in auto. R33, and Evo8rs come to mind

i wonder who came up with this method  cough* me cough* :D

lol, is common sense to use that method, most pro tuners been using that method since gt1.

I've found the some automatic tunes prove to be faster online due to the precise shifting in manual tune, as a sample, i have a lambo sv that times a 9.10x in automatic but when raced online against another sv with manual tune, automatic tune have a better win ratio than manual cause in the heat of racing online people tend to miss its perfect shift :)

inexperienced players do, but if you use your noggin, theres a way to counter it easily.

You do not seem to understand the concept of latency. TV+Bluetooth+Online game=massive latencies. I am not saying its impossible but that does make shifting quite a bit harder.

so you're telling me i dont know latency?! ive played this game for nearly 2 years now, i know more that you think. and also, i play on a 32" flat screen tv with 8-14 devices besides my ps3 and xbox on the internet at once, and i use a turle beach headset. AND GUESS WHAT?? I STILL TREE PEOPLE!!!

out of my reply to aka i dont know how in the world you got latency, he was talking about peope getting caught up in the race and not shifting correctly so thats why automatic wins more. you have nearly no shift latency, the only latency is your controller to your ps3, then your ps3 to the gt5 servers, vs just your ps3 to the gt5 servers which is hardly andy difference unless we bring a wheel into this the story changes.

so next time you question my knowladge, think for a minute.

woah everyone, please don't argue. its a dumb thread about something that i pretty much knew about, just clarified. Please don't fight about lag on the game and the heat of the moment shifting.
Everyone knows and it'll just spark another argument, then all of a sudden Mr. Fastest SpecV wil be back lol.

Thank you to everyone who replied though, i do appreciate it

sorry, and also  @ the Vspec joke lol.

i just hate people questioning my intellegence on simple topics that seem like common sense to me. a controller cant send the signal to the ps3 as fast as you do it, its impossible unless it predicts your movements. but they are very fast none the less.
