It isn't hard to understand why they done it in such a way the computer blips the throttle for you. Kinda hard to do for non wheel.pedals users as is most of the PS3 public.

It botters me because at certain gear changes and with soem cars you don't have to use it and can then thus use this to your advantage in regards of laptimes.

I for one think it's a shame you can't disable this and wonder what other (sim)racers alike think about this.

i for one am appalled that this game is not like real life. For instance, what makes me most angry is that I can't turn on the dashboard lights during the day. Yes i know it's the day time and there is no use for it but I just want to.

I really hope that was sarcasm lol

Turn off TCS.

This does not change anything in regards to throttle blip on the downshifts.

It would be nice to have the ability to turn it off. I still find myself doing it after playing rFactor though.

Hehe I'll be honest and it wasn't till level 20+ I found out it wasn't me doing it but the computer lol. Bollox !

When you downshift in racing cars you need to blip the throttle. This means you quickly tap your throttle so you rev the engine up to the right no. so it matches the gear your downshifting to.

If you would not do this in some racing cars, sepcially the lower gears, your driven wheels ( RWD mostly) will tend to lock up and cause your rear to step out uncontrollable when braking hard and downshifting.

So ye as you can hear and see the computer does that for us which is kinda ok for those using controllers but I would have loved to see the option to turn this off.

When braking using a Dual Shock 3, I just alternate between little throttle and little break, for some reason the car stops in a shorter distance when doing this, abs on or off
