Theme:
Colourful background, open edit!! - The main coulour must be the background - preferably the car should be dull/lacks colour (includes very faded paint). The image may be edited in Photoshop, or any such image editing program, as much or as little as you wish, anything goes for editing.

The rules:
-Each competition's voting will end on a Friday at 6pm GMT. This gives chance for people to engage in religious activities, rest and time with family on Sunday. (Deadlines near bottom).

-Entries must be in by 6pm on a Wednesday, no exceptions. If your work is not submitted by then then you must wait until the next week.

-All entered photographs
must have been taken between January 2008 and the present day.

-Enteries must be posted as a thumbnail without extending 400pixels on the longest side. Full sized images may be no larger than 900pixels on their longest side.

-You must only submit your own photographs, do not post anyone else's wheter from the internet or if someone you know took the photograph.

-Any watermark you place on your image must be in any corner of the image as long as it does not obstruct the subject of the image.

-Only one photograph per person. You can not change your entry.

-You must not vote for your own photograph when the Poll is up. Only vote for a photograph taken by another enterant.

-The photograph must be submitted with the following information: Subject, Location, Date and Camera used.

-Levels, Curves, Colour Balance, Brightness/Contrast, Hue/Saturation, cropping, or anything else capable in the development process or with filters and common special lenses are allowed to use in Photoshop or other image editing softwares. Other adjustments and effects are not allowed to be used in your picture.

-No HDRI shots allowed



Entries must be in on the Wednesday at 6pm GMT.
The poll will be up at 6:30pm GMT on this day and will end on a Friday at 6:30pm GMT.


Thank you for taking time to read this and I will hope to get a good number of entries on Wednesday the 15th of April.

Yeah, I really have no idea either. XD

But I will take a stab at it being...something like this. This is the talented exigeracer's work. NOT MY OWN!
 - just to clarify.

That is my photograph, however, there is a little more to it than that. Since you plucked it out based on the background, I am obliged to refer you to this post, as Sprite had done that specific background work.

I've got to bust out the external drive, so I'll look through some older stuff and try to find a not-yet-seen photo and maybe edit something pretty.

Ah. >_< I'm sorry then. I didn't notice (I was going through your 12 pages to find that specific photo that I remembered I'd seen before. And...had a little lapse.

So then...thanks Sprite for demonstrating what effect that...might be what he's asking for. But I'm not sure. XD And of course, thank you for correcting me exigeracer.

It's hard to close a contest when there are no entries! So...I shall extend this another week and also get GBWH1991 to explain what he exactly wants us to do. XD

Well...I think that most other people...didn't understand what the theme was. So I messaged him to tell us what exactly he wants us to do. ^^
 
Sorry for not being clear.

What I mean is for the car to be a dark/dull coulour, but it's surroundings to have colour.

It's an open edit, so you could dull down the car and make the background more colourful in Photoshop or such programs - if you have that option avalible.
 
I don't even know if this follows the theme, and I might work on it more. Maybe. But here goes. I should have picked different colours, probably.

Alright so this has always been one of my all-time photos of my own. At least by the way I interpret the rules, the background is what makes this photo. It is a clean car (love the de-wing, even if it was stolen instead of voluntarily removed), rather bright colour, but the fact that it's sitting in such a lush, green, saturated environment really pulls the whole thing together.

Well, I think I'm going to extend this a day, to Thursday April 23rd, as not only are there few entries, but I'm also not going to be available tomorrow, due to an exam. ^^

Hope I'll find many more entries on Thursday. ^^
