Righty. I've spent the last 3 hours doing the Christmas Crossword in Autosport, and now I'm stuck on the last 5, despite trying Google, Wikipedia etc. So now I'm requesting the help of all you good people. These are the clues, and the letters I have so far:

Its inaugural Champ Car Grand Prix in 2005 failed to materialise (5,5)
SOUTH KOREA (thanks amp88)

Tamburello, Villeneuve, etc. (8)
CHICANES (thanks amp88 again)
[Both corners at San Marino, where Senna and Ratzenberger died in 1994]

A measure of Dan Wheldon's Indianapolis success? (4,7)
FIVE HUNDRED (5 out of 5 for amp88!)

Newly-crowned British F3 champ (7)
PARENTE (he's got another one)
[I thought this would be easy, but the letters stumped me - Kimball doesn't fit]

What we often see drivers doing when the Safety Car is deployed (7)
PITTING (and again, thanks amp88) :)

Your thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Chicanes for the second one. I might look at the rest but I'm eating my tea.

edit: Pitting for the last one

edit2: South Korea for first one

edit3: Parente for F3

Wow. That was fast. Thanks! 👍

Didn't know the South Korea one, but the other 2 are obvious... now.

Cool, np. I added the F3 answer too, but I can't think of anything for the Dan Wheldon clue...I'm sure someone else will get it though 👍

Excellent. Didn't know the Parente one either, and I'm suprised I couldn't find it with Google.

Well, it fits, so in it goes. Thanks, thanks and thanks again!

All done now, so time for a closure...

...except I can't, so if a mod would do the honours it'd be much appriciated.
