Avi screenshot help

anyone know a good program to take screenshots of a AVI file?

hey thanks! hmmmm Fraps can capture when i play games but not when i play a AVI file even in full screen mode.

i tired google and ended up with other crap.. like how to capture and convert to AVI. dammit i know there is a program that can do this! I remember using it at school just cant remember the name

Well Intervideo's WinDVD has a screenshot capability, you press "P" during play, and I'm not sure if it plays AVI's.

Tools > Options > Performance > Under Video Acceleration, move the slider to 'None' > Take your screenshot > Move the slider back to 'Full'

What I do is press Print SCRN SYSRQ(above the insert key most likely) then paste is a program like paint or photoshop.

And that works with avi files for you does it?

I tried taking a screenshot once of a video clip but when I pasted it into Photoshop, the bloody thing kept moving. Which was very strange.

Hmmmm. I don't think it's possible.

Matrix 3 with Print Screen I knew this film was good. Even moved the Div X box to fit the film and it didn't work.

You beat me too it! Heh, only you forgot to say it applies to Windows Media Player, although it was obvious.
