Awesome Halo party last night

Yeah, so last night I went over to a friends house with 14 other guys and had an 8 vs. 8 CTF session that lasted about 4 hours. We had four Xboxes and 4 TVs. Each team had their own room in the house, and all of the boxes were connected via hub. If it is at all possible for any of you to do this, do so immediatly(sp?).

always wanted to, i usually play halo on the computer, how long are the cables? im assuming pretty long if you guys were in differnet rooms

the most I've played is 12 player CTF and slayer. 3 tvs, 4 per tv, 2 of them were in the same room and the other was in a bedroom. still have my cat5 cables for LAN ready since i play 8 player matches regularly enough (at least once a month).

p.s. BLOOD GULCH RULES!

Just FYI, the maximum length for network cable is 300 feet (:

A friend of mine, lives down the street, owns a gaming center where he has four 45" TVs with XBoxes networked. They play a lot of Halo and occationally I'll go up there. It's good fun when you have a lot of guys that are fairly good and doing some kind of team game. I wish they would have had it be four teams, though, and maps designed for it. Imagine Blood Gulch in a + (four wings with bases) formation instead of just a long line with bases at each end. Then four teams of four men (red, blue, green, orange) playing capture the flag. Cool stuff.

They could have also had color options for teams. That would have made a lot of sense ... If all the colors for the individual players were available for an entire team it would have been cool. Or let each player keep their own color, but wear a team designating 'jersey' or something ... I mean, there are giant green arrows as it is. What more do they need.

i have another question for you guys, can you use the regular cables that hook your computer up the internet? i think there called cat5 cables or do you need certain xbox link cables?(friends and I are going to link xbox's and play some halo)

Anybody play this online? I'll usually have my brother go over to my neighbors house and him and my neighbor will play me and my other brother. Or even play other people online. You just have to watch out for the cheaters(not to many). Don't think your good until you play online either.

Or even edit the maps so you can have flying warhogs, sniper shooting plasma gernade, climbing up walls, and assaultrifles shooting homming rockets? This will only work if both xbox's have these set but its fun with four players on one xbox.
