I complied many clips found in limewire, split and joined them here and there, and added a soundtrack that suits the video, it took me and a freind just over 4 hours from nothing to a finished video with adapted clips and etc.

Tell me what you think

Hi there, that video is got to be said.....its really, really good! The video compilation and the song,it matched perfectly.Really sorry to what actually happened to Senna......and by the way, what song was that? Was it Nickelback or something, just can't remember the name.....

I love the bit where he stops his car and gets out to help the crashed driver. He was so compassionate about his fellow man.

Awesome video, I too loved the part where he got out of hos own car to help a fellow driver. He's done that numerous times hasn't he? It shows how compassionate he was. Added to my favourites and now I want to play some AC5!

thanks for the heads up guys :)

< Im in the planning stages of a gilles villeneuve one atm he desnt have alot of clips

It used to happen occasionally back when driving race cars was a significant mortal risk.

+REP Great job on the video CCX!

BTW: For those that enjoy Grand Prix history, Speed TV will be broadcasting "Grand Prix Greats" on July 7th & 8th, which is a new episode of Alain de Cadenet's Victory By Design series.

Judging by the comments this is a great video. Unfortunately YouTube is blocked here right now so I'll watch it tonight.

You couldnt be any further from the truth my friend: http://www.ventisetterosso.com/english/main/homepage.htm

This sight is filled with Gilles Vids, not all necesarily high quality, but rare all the same. This should help you alot. And by the way very good job indeed on the Senna vid.

And also on the subject of tribute vids, here are 2 of mine:

Senna:

Gilles:

Good luck CCX :)

Tigermoth737, they have to be the greatest tributes i have seen about them two drivers.

It took myself and CCX hours to find clips, and i can safely say its not as good as your Senna video. Some rare footage there and i like the Williams test. Same with the G.V video.
Gald you didnt include their fatal accidents.

Very good.
Well done.:)

I believe we have been 'owned'

fantastic videos dude:)

Well this is the only thread I could find which was good enough to restart.

So as its now 14 years on. So here are two of my very own tribute videos of the great man.
Magic Senna

In Pictures..

Great vids as previously commented 👍

I can't believe its 14 years, even my first ever F1 game of the 1997 season is becoming a very distant memory. I think the way F1 has developed safety-wise since Senna's death has made the gap seem even more distant. Only Rubens remains on the F1 grid as a driver who raced against Senna.

Some pics I dug up:

On the subject of Senna tributes, does anyone else find it odd that they named a chicane after him (and a second after Graham Hill) at Hockenheim? I mean, Senna and Hill were men who dedicated their lives in the pursuit of going faster, so it seems a complete contradiction to be naming chicanes after them when all chicanes really do is slow cars down ...

Its only corners and chicanes that get named now and most corners might already have names leaving the chicanes that have been added recently due to the higher speeds get new names. They don't name straights, maybe they should.

There's nothing wrong with naming corners. I mean, Sepang's turn five is taken flat out. So is Spa's Blanchimont. It just seems odd to name a corner that serves no purpose but to slow cars down after men who were always looking to go faster.

They could name some chicane after Jacques Villeneuve.

Yeah, and some people have the idiocy to Schumacher is great but not Senna. I mean, has Schuamcher done that before, cause I can not remember. And Senna's driving at Silverstone in 1992, absouloute class. I cant imagine Schumacher doing that either. How the heck he won seven world titles is beyond me!

Best car & best driver.

Its all down to you on who you think is best. Just because some people say that Schuamacher is great and Senna is not doesn't mean they are correct, or even make you correct by the same margin. Senna's drive in 1993 at Donny was outstanding but Schumachers drive in Spain in 1996 I think it was was just as good. Senna's first win in the wet was also outstanding but Schumachers first win which was at the 'Ultimate drivers track' (Spa). They were class in their own way.

Senna in my eyes was and is better than MS as a driver & as a man. But for everyone of me, you'll find one who thinks the flip side of that.
