Im currently 12 hours in, in my first b-spec le Mans race and i just noticed that the AI keeps pitting in! Didnt PD test these races?

My concern is that they do this in A-spec too? Please tell me they dont:nervous:

I think it has to do with rain intensity. If it's raining too hard the AI will pit in and change to Rain tires, and if somewhere in between laps the rain's intensity subsides (but still raining) they'll change to Racing intermediate.

Do not set your B-Spec drivers to pit at a particular strength level.
They do not regain enough strength while they are not driving, and then when it is their turn to drive again, their strength is so low that they pit the very next lap.
Rather leave them to pit only when they need fuel or tyres.
They will drive fine with no strength when they are a high level.

Guys i mean the AI and not my Bob.. He is thundering on:) It is not even raining and yet they keep doing it.. Do they do it in a-spec too?

I can confirm this. The other 11 cars in the field pit every lap to change drivers because they are tired. Pathetic, really. Makes a mockery of Le Mans.

There are only three things that bother me about this game: THIS, no Indy cars in the Indy 500 and Hard tires having shorter life span than Soft tires.

I just posted in the B spec section about this. It ruins the race as I use a comparable car to run this with. You end up winning by 18-20 laps over the prototypes and 40+ over the two lower class cars.

Also did you notice that all the cars are smushed on the right side after awhile at Le Sarthe? LOL.. Its because they all hit the right side wall when coming into pit lane at the first left turn. I literally switched between all the cars during pit stops and saw that most of the time they will come in too hot and hit the pit wall hard on the right side. Seems PD didn't play test this game thoroughly.

if the arrows for you guy prerace are pointing downward, they will barely recover strength at all when you pit, so they will pit again if you have pittng set to %10

This has happened to me in arcarde mode as well. Eiger and Suzuka weather change. After it stops raining AI pit I presume for inters and the come in the next lap for full wets. There is no need for it and it ruins the entire race. It's mad when you can't even have a proper race on these tracks. I don't want to sound like one of these people who shouts "patch" at every problem but this is just too annoying for me.

Further study shows that it is only the LMP cars that are affected. The 3 GT cars at the bottom still has some strength left and race somewhat properly. These 3 cars have closed the gap and are now about 5-6 laps behind nr.2 Audi R8.. Man am I dissappointed in this!

Strat is set to none, but if the rain changes in strength even after having just changed tyres they will pit in again and change tyres and driver.... very frustrating to start a race and choose the wrong tyre type and then have BOB pit in a lap later to change em!!
