Before getting the FGT, my highest level Bob (Lv.21) struggles in Historic Race Car event (2nd Race - Côte d'Azur) with a overpowered & fine tuned Toyota 7 Race Car. Then the patch 1.05 went out, and I finally bought the FGT. I struggled to gold the A-Spec Formula Gran Turismo World Championship (FGTWC), and yet to gold them all. So I think what will happen in B-Spec?......Bob won the whole Championship in just one run, golded every single race. (Of cause, I had to nurse him all the way...)

Bob's actions during the Championship:
1) Aggressive overtakes by knocking rivals out of corners; :dunce:
2) Unbelievable driving skills, late brake (sometimes), outside corner overtakes, cutting through corners (some tracks), overtake multiple rivals in a row, etc.
3) Lapped the other slower FGT at least 1 lap in every track, usually won the race by miles ahead of 2nd position car.

I was shocked by his actions first at the Fuji track, turned Michael Schumacher?! I think I said "Wow...", "What the f..." many times to the screen.

For your interests, my Bob has very high stats on Cornering, Braking, Accuracy, Physical Strength, and all other stats are over 50%. Well, he still sucks with other cars.

This is the first time I got the series level ticket (Lv.21 Ticket) ahead of A-Spec...

PS:There seems to be a glitch that AI rivals use wrong tyres at the start of a race, and they pit to change at 2nd lap. Happens when finished a dry track then to a wet track, or vise versa.

Anyone shares similar experience, or opposite experience?

Santa had a little chat with Bob? Wonder if the 1.5 update made the B-spec AI a little bit smarter? That would be nice. I personally haven't gotten a chance to test out B-spec since 1.5 update so I'll wait for someone with experience to chime in.

It was like that before 1.05, he laps them in the FGT events.

Yep, definately need more evidences. 👍

When Bob gets the X1, the game is over. The whole game becomes way way way way way to easy. He laps every thing many times. In the 24hr races I've been doing. He wins on avg 146 to 150 laps ahead on the next guy in 2nd place. I stopped even watching B Spec at level 33 because they were killing it in just a Zonda R. But now, it's not even funny.

Ar, not because of new patch...:grumpy:

My friend who watched I played it suggests GT5's AI design was based on F1 drivers...I'm not quite sure of his argument......:dunce:

My level 21 Bob is already crazy enough to beat other F1 cars with FGT...

BTW, still 2 levels away to unlock the X1 Challenge (A-Spec)......:dopey:

Wait until you see him corner the X1 at 200+mph, lol. It's just to unreal speeds, lol.....

It sounds like your Bob is straight gangsta, cutting other drivers off and stuff. My Bob has yet to attempt the FGT challenge because I have been grinding him to get me to level 35 b-spec. He is level 39 right now and has one more 9 hour race to do to get me to level 35 b-spec. He will then be level 40 and I expect him to destroy the FGT series without my help.

And still, he sucks horribly at oval tracks... :(

MY B-Spec driver rocks at ovals. He actually pulls away from the others and leaves a big enough gap so they can't draft him :dopey:

Demolished the Nascar Champioship!

Max out the downforce and LSD 👍

Mine brakes to 200 kph at every turn in Daytona. It's no use to tune my Tacoma to 500 hp if Bob isn't going to use them properly, I think. Maybe I should try and try this race until he gets experience on ovals?

Come back to the race when he's over level 10. Having a high corner rating will help

In what Car and race?

In what Car and race?

Nascar? I dunno, the one I won, Tony Stewart Old Spice car :)

For the truck race - I used a Ford SVT, lightened to the max, and around 500hp

I just did the B spec Formula GT series last night - all 6 hours of it - and my level 21 Bob easily won every event. On the Indy road course I had him pit 3 times, and I don't think the AI drivers pitted at all, and he still won easily. At Fuji, the idiot-in-charge kept turning off the pit indicator, not realizing he was running out of gas. He ended up idling halfway around the track at 50 mph, still won easily. On the Nurburgring GT course, he spun out 3 times going through the chicane, still won by a wide margin. At Suzuka I started him out on intermediate tires (it was raining). All the other morons must have been on slicks, and I got a half lap lead before they got a chance to pit. Game over for them.

All for a
135 hp Suzuki.
I was expecting...I dunno. An F-15 fighter jet or something :)

is this on default setup? or have you changed some settings around?

Just the default setup. I changed the gearing a bit, which probably screwed him up badly on some races as I had it way too high. Made it at least a bit exciting. Once he gets the lead it's like all the other cars give up and he just walks away from them. I'd usually pit when I caught up with the lap cars, as they'd slow him down and pitting gave them a chance to get ahead again, so Bob has smooth sailing for a while. Bob's still not all that good at passing - his rear-end them first and then try to overtake isn't particularly efficient.

Say again, lol....

experience is shared on the drivers you enter an endurance with. so if you do lemans with 1 driver he will gain 4x the xp. so your b-spec level can be lower than your drivers b-spec level. I am 37 and have 2x lvl39 and one lvl34 driver (hot/cold/middle)

I did the B-spec FGTC last night as well and was unsure about how the weather might play a role. I believe that on more than one occasion it was supposed to be raining, but my Bob has never seen the wet conditions as of yet. Ever, in any race. I thought it might be because i didn't change to inters of full wets before the start, but as I have heard here that may not be the reason why. Monza became very cloudy and dark. I even thought I may have heard thunder on more than one occasion. Can anyone describe how the weather played out in your races. Did you start on slicks and change to treads? Did you start on wets and then change to slicks after it stopped raining? Or have I just been fortunate and not had the rain come my way? Thanks

My Bob did great he went gold on all races.
Just make sure he is leveled up and if he does poorly just grind him up a level or two.

At Suzuka it was raining hard the entire time. I started on intermediates, then switched to rain tires after one lap - already had a huge lead because the other cars must have had slicks on to start with. I was in the lead well before the first corner. They could barely move at all. I pitted again with about 10 laps left, jsut to put on some fresh rain tires. Bob drove brilliantly - never spun once. I did keep his mood meter pretty low the whole time, but it got up in the red when he'd encounter other cars. No problems though.

I think one of the other races was real cloudy and gloomy, but it never did rain. I may have heard some thunder, but I think it was in the post-race screen. Never heard that during the race.

Thanks Jack. Was wondering how and when you determined to put on the inters (obviously before race start)? Did you go by the pre-race screen and make your decision because you saw the rain? Or because the race desciption shows it should be raining? Thanks again.

I just saw it raining before the race. Couldn't really tell if it was hard enough to go with rain tires, I though is was only a moderate rain so I went with intermediates. Then my pit indicator thing came on during the first lap and when I pitted, the default tires that came up were rain, so I figured it would be a good idea to switch to them.

Did the same championship last night Bob was flying and winning races, the funniest thing happened at monza, it was raining hard the whole time, in the beginning i assumed it was a drizzle because it didn't look like i needed rains, it seems everyone else thought the same thing and it was a crash fest till everyone pitted. In the middle of the race the ai called to switch to intermediates and later to race hards while it was still a downpour, i turned away while this happened so it was destruction derby once again till i pitted him to put on rains again while everyone decided to remain on slicks he won the race by two laps, lol.

The rain races are messed up, the AI cars forget to change their tyres so all pit in after lap 1, which is handy when I also forget, but seriously would any team go to a race meeting on another day with the same old tyres from the last race still on? Bad PD!

My Bob is doing the FGT event now, has golded so far but i babysit him up to a reasonable position and he does the rest. He's stuck behind P1 at Monaco now though so gonna intervene :)

All for a ... 135 hp Suzuki. I was expecting...I dunno. An F-15 fighter jet or something :)

LOL! same... I was going with a Bob, (LOW arrow, orange, at about 70% hot head, not quite into the red, but close... and wait for it... lvl 18.)

Can't even say it was competition... I almost gave up after the first race. When overtaking the leader, he spun out, came back to 11th place... +2 laps hes in first, lapped almost everyone by lap 20 when I pitted (works quite well actually), lapped them all before lap 30, and then they pitted.. lol was messed up.

HAHAHA.

I got extremely disappointed at the FGT championships.. both a-spec and b-spec... all that trouble for the worst cars in my life (didn't even dare to drive them yet.)

The only b-spec replay I have ever saved was the FGT Suzuka event, I chose the wrong tyres by mistake which put my dude like a lap down, the rest of the race was just increase pace and he was epic even with a car that desperately needed an engine rebuild and rigidity improvement went on to win the championship. 👍

GEt bob to go in an x1 on tsukuba. Watch him send other cars flying.
