My B-Spec driver absolutely refuses to win or even place in the top 3 on Laguna Seca no matter how much of an advantage he has.

On the Pick up truck event I have a Lightning fully maxed over 720hp and he can't even place 4th.

On the SupercarNostalgia event I have a fully maxed Cobra 427 '66 over 740hp and I can't even get into top 3 again vs cars with 300hp...

These are the only two races keeping me from fully completing the Amateur series, can someone please help me on what's wrong?

I'm level 17 in A-Spec and almost 13 in B-Spec.

Weird, my bspec guys have never had any trouble at Laguna. Is your guy spinning or going on the grass after the corkscrew? I had to pace down on several races before the corkscrew to get them to be clean after it.

The Cobra is nearly impossible to drive in any event in bspec (or aspec for that matter) Not a good bspec car.

It is possible to give your B-Spec driver too much horsepower. Too much power going to wheels that can't handle it with a driver who can't control it means he's not going anywhere. Try taking some of the power off of it such that he still has more but not an insanely high amount. If you're still having trouble with the pick-up truck event, start looking out for the Toyota Tundra in the used dealership. That appears to be one of the better pick-up trucks, as any truck that pulls away in the Daytona Race is usually a Tundra.

When I did Laguna with my Ford Lightning I hade to spam the pace up for him to win. Also, make sure you have the best tyres you're allowed and check your gearing. Good luck:tup:

Gear the Truck for 200mph Max it'll acclerate quicker and get to the corners quicker , If he's wheelspinning the Truck too Much either Pace him Down or Experiment with the LSD Settings just the top one ONLY for now (thats if you have one fitted of course) try setting it to 40 Top One Only Remeber , it'll hurt the Acceleration a bit but it'll cut down on Wheelspin when he mashes the Pedal

Last Resort if you can do it Create a New level 0 Bob sling him in there usually quicker for some stupid reason (maybe they have no Virtual fear ) god alone knows why though

Overpowering the competition in B-Spec will only get you so far. Your Bum needs some finesse to their cars too. My B-Spec Bum took the win at Laguna Seca with a lightened 420hp Tacoma in the pickup event and a lightened, full-downforce 440hp Countach in the supercar nostalgia event.

I'm not going of course it's just he slows down when he doesn't need to and just doesn't pass when I say to.

You need to dial down the hp. Due to the tire restrictions the AI has trouble controlling big power. I think I won with just over 500hp with my lightning, and I had to micro manage him quite a bit for that track.

It was never him not staying on the track, it was more of him refusing to pass people and breaking early and everyone just flying by. I turned the max speed to 160 for both and I just smashed the overtake button until I was first and then kept it at a little bit over the white middle line.

Thanks for the help guys.

That happened to me when I let him run by himself. Just keep the pace in the middle and overtake whenever you find an opening. Time your orders right.

The HP doesn't matter, I let my B-Spec Bob use the X1 since level 10 and he does fine. I'd recommend leveling your B-Spec up one or two more levels, then come back to it and you will find they drive the truck better. I couldn't win either one in a fully modded 1500 Lariat at first. Came back after leveling up a couple marks and won both easily. The same goes for the Historic races, I either have to wait for him to level up so he can pass the cars effectively, or get the Toyota 7 race car :|

I finally beat it about an hour ago, beat the Supercar Nostalgia with the Shelby, the truck one with the Ford and I found I had just one more race left on the muscle car b-spec...and the reason was because it was Laguna lol. I turned my 740hp svt mustang down to 160ish again and blazed through it.

My whole problem was there wasn't a long enough straight away to just bully my way into the lead, I would get right next to someone to pass then a corner would come up and my guy would break early. So I guess the shorter gears made it speed up a bit to get me in there.
